Pregnancy pains?

Angelxx99 · 14/07/2021 22:46

I have just found out that I am pregnant roughly 4/5 weeks. I am currently experiencing pain in my right side of my belly and my right shoulder tip is painful along with bleeding. Should I be concerned?

OP please call 111, you don’t want to take any chances with this.

Really? Could it be that bad? I am googling things and worrying? We thought of calling the gp in the morning?

Signs of ectopic. Call 111 ASAP. Good luck Thanks

Sheisfee · 14/07/2021 23:21

Call 111 - you should not wait until the morning.

Will they not just send me to A&E?

Go to A and E then. Listen to what people are saying, this could be serious.

ReginaaPhalange · 14/07/2021 23:34

Trust us when we say this, call 111 NOW. This is not something that can wait until the morning.

I don't want to scare you but if this ectopic and it ruptures, it can be dangerous... please just listen to what everyone else is saying regardless of the time.

Good luck

Please either call 111 or your out of hours GP if you have one, or go to your local urgent care centre or A&E. it doesn’t matter which really, but you do want this checked as soon as possible. It may not be an ectopic, but it’s not worth risking the wait to find out and ending up with a ruptured tube. If caught early it’s entirely treatable with no lasting damage.

minatrina · 14/07/2021 23:39

I know I'm just repeating what everyone else has said, but it can't be emphasised enough how important it is for you to see somebody asap. Please call 111!

I truly hope that it's just a false alarm, but there is a chance it could be an ectopic pregnancy as they are the classic symptoms, and that's something that needs to be seen to very very quickly to avoid as much damage as possible x

My partner is calling for me now. What does it mean by ruptured?

I'm exhausted and I just need to sleep. So he is calling for me x

How did you get on OP?
Hey, so they have booked me an appointment in to go and see them. They have told me not to panic. So I am just waiting for my appointment

ReginaaPhalange · 15/07/2021 11:24

What?! You did tell them all the symptoms you're having such as the pain and shoulder pain and told you not to worry? Wow!

I really hope it is not an ectopic pregnancy and all is ok but if someone calls with classic symptoms of ectopic then surely that's urgent!

overtherainbo · 15/07/2021 12:06

My cousin had the same symptoms and it ended up being ectopic. She was took straight in and had surgery removing one tube. She was told how lucky she was.

I would ring again asap. You need a scan to confirm baby's position.

MrsB2019x · 15/07/2021 12:36

I had an ectopic last year, like you I just waited to call the GP in the morning. They sent me straight to A&E. Please go there now x

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 15/07/2021 23:21

I hope everything is alright OP - from what I've read some stomach cramps at 4/5 weeks can be normal (I have it myself) even if it feels more to one side BUT when combined with bleeding and especially shoulder pain!, it is extremely worrying and potentially very dangerous. I agree with PP, I really hope you have now gone to A and E to be safe Flowers.
