Anyone else binge watch this during their pregnancy? I've always enjoyed watching it anyway but now I'm pregnant I just can't stop haha. I just can't imagine they being me in 16 weeks. Madness!

Yeah watched it constantly, also 16 and pregnant, teen mom, etc. Anything baby.

I didn't find it helpful though as I was stressed about giving birth 🙃

spittycup · 14/07/2021 22:09

I did first time round, loved it

I really wish they didn't stop filming as it was so great. Probably will go back and watch the older ones at some point

boathemianrhapsody · 14/07/2021 22:09

I watch it, but I’m unable to watch it when I’m pregnant. It scares me too much 😂

lockdownbabyx · 14/07/2021 22:11

Glad I'm not the only one 😂 it isn't just this I've watched either, found other similar programmes and I've binged them aswell lol I just love it and can't wait to see what my experience will be like x

Yep on third pregnancy and binging it for the third time 😂 even though none of my labours have been like it and I'm planning a second home birth! I just like getting all emotional when the babies are born.

sarah13xx · 14/07/2021 22:24

I am OBSESSED! The Emma Willis one too

WeAllLikeVindaloo · 14/07/2021 22:34

Emma Willis ones are amazing

lockdownbabyx · 14/07/2021 23:11

Watched all the Emma Willis ones too 😂. I'm on the hunt for similar programmes so if anyone have any others I can watch haha x

Where can I find the Emma Willis ones? First pregnancy too and like watching these things! Loved the Leeds lot in OBEM

lockdownbabyx · 14/07/2021 23:16

I have sky and they're on there. I know my mum has tried to find them online but can't find them anywhere 😔

This is literally me. Since finding out I am pregnant I have started watching it from the very beginning haha!!

Only on series 2 at the minute so still loads to go, but definitely find it interesting and insightful! Also, quite surprised at how many 'normal' vb births can change so quickly and become EMCS!! Confused Doesn't scare me at all, but it is actually making me feel more at ease to know what different possibilities I could face!

expectinglittlebear · 15/07/2021 08:54

@lockdownbabyx I have been watching them on the Channel 4 Hub. If she has a smart tv, the app should be on there. Create an account and they are all on there! x

lockdownbabyx · 15/07/2021 08:58

@expectinglittlebear it's so insightful I agree! I just love watching them. Most people think I'm mad but it doesn't scare me at all, if anything it gets me more excited for my own experience and I just can't wait.
We've both watched all of the once born every minute, it's the Emma Willis programme she can't seem to find online anywhere xx

I absolutely love it but I've seen them all, gutted that it's been cancelled! People think I'm mad but I'll watch anything baby related at the minute, loved Baby Surgeons on Channel 4 even though it was a hard watch at times.

lockdownbabyx · 15/07/2021 09:37

@JackJack84 oh I watched that too! It was hard to watch but I was fascinated, it's amazing what they can do. There is another series on channel 5 called babies 24/7: the maternity ward. I absolutely loved it and actually preferred it to OBEM. Def worth a look ☺️

Oh nice thank you, I'll definitely watch that!

YYY85 · 15/07/2021 19:22

So glad that it's not just me. During my first pregnancy I couldn't stop watching programmes like that and since finding out I'm expecting number 2 I've watched everyday.

sociallydistained · 15/07/2021 22:48

I’m 12 weeks and have just started watching it because I saw this thread. I was never bothered by it before but I think this will be my new binge. I’m not scared by it I like to just be aware of the realities lol.

BinkyRidesForth · 16/07/2021 22:25

I’m currently binging the Emma Willis one too, going to start on OBEM once I’m done with this Grin

Katefoster · 16/07/2021 22:40

One of the seasons is filmed in the Hospital im giving birth in and I love watching it

ReginaaPhalange · 16/07/2021 22:44

I don't have sky and can't find the Emma Willis ones anywhere :(

lockdownbabyx · 16/07/2021 23:47

@sociallydistained enjoy! Prepare to binge haha x

@Katefoster oh really how cool! Will give you a good insight for sure.

@ReginaaPhalange aw I no, I don't know why they're not available online! So annoying. Are they available to rent or anything on Amazon prime?

Cosyclothes · 16/07/2021 23:57

@NannyPear I get so emotional when the babies are born too! I remember one episode where the mum was rushed off to theatre and for some reason the dad couldn’t go with them, they showed him just standing alone in the room quietly waiting for her to come back and I lost it!!

Sleepyquest · 17/07/2021 18:42

Yes I loved doing this during my first pregnancy. Found the experience somewhat different to what I'd seen on tv though!

BertieBotts · 17/07/2021 20:18

I really liked the BBC midwives one but I've seen them all. I think they are on Youtube, they defo used to be.
