Primo Viaggio car seat base

I have the car seat and finding it an awful hassle getting it in and out of the car. I don't have the base and was wondering if having the base makes putting the car seat in the car easier. Do you just click the car seat on to the base? How much faffing about with the seat belt do you have to do with the base?

providing your seat belt is long enough to go round back of seat the base is brilliant... take your seat to mamas and papas and try it with a base firstt.. my one is a little hard to get out of the car i have to tilt the seat because its a people carrier and the seats are higher. you fit the base into the car leaving the lap part of seat belt holding it in place then you dock the seat onto the base and pull the seat belt around the back of the seat its easier than the other way but takes practice

I have the primo viaggio with the base, and I agree with soremummy, it's brilliant. The seat clicks onto the base, which I leave permanently in the car. Then each time you just belt the seat in, and I find it comes in and out really easily.

much much easier with the base definitely. Good idea to try it out at the store first.
