How can I get through glucose challenge test in 1st trimester with horrible nausea if I don’t eat?

My glucose levels were elevated after my blood test taken during my booking appointment so they want me to do a glucose tolerant test ASAP.
I have terrible nausea which is only relieved by eating. I don’t know how I am supposed to manage to wake up at 6.30 and not eat anything. My appointment is at 9am and then I believe I still can’t eat for another 2 hours after that?! Will I not just be throwing up all the way there (a 15 min drive and 1 hour train journey!). Is there anything I can do to help myself?
This is my 2nd pregnancy and I just did the GTT much later in my pregnancy last time when the worst of the nausea was over. I didn’t have gestational diabetes last time.
Thanks

If your nausea is that bad you need to explain this to them and ask if they can do something different. If you vomit at all during the test they have to rebook it, when I had mine 3 women were sent home without their 2nd lot of bloods doing due to vomiting.
