Low iron?

So I’m 15+5 and constantly out of breath doing absolutely nothing, and so tired. Could this be low iron?

I'm pretty similar, walking very very short distances I'm out of breath & high heart rate. Booked in for full blood tests for Friday to check iron. I also have Hyperemesis but feeling the breathless & high heart rate is something different.

MrsGxx · 13/07/2021 17:37

Last time my heart rate was checked it was 125 I think she said, but then she checked my notes and said it seems normal for me in pregnancy.
It’s making me feel awful I can’t even have a shower without being so breathless I’m sick because of it x

Definitely no harm you getting your bloods checked then. GP should be able enough to.

It was for me. I had my iron checked and it wasn’t low but at the low end of normal. MW gave me an iron supplement and I improved within about 7-10 days

Your iron levels should be checked with your bloods done from your booking appointment. They should be discussed at your 16 week appointment. Mine were the low end of normal, although didn’t have any symptoms, so taking iron tablets to get them up

@SW100 I had my booking appointment and was contacted because I have gestational diabetes but nothing was said about anything else? I have my 16 week appt next week.

I don't have a 16wk appt as this is my 2nd so just called docs and requested to get bloods checked, was no problem. My next midwife appt isn't till 26 or 28wks but obvs 20scan too before that. My bloods were ok at 8wk booking appt.
