Hey! I've been too nervous to post in pregnancy so far but could use some advice.
I have PCOS so extra long cycles, had a positive frer on 9dpo and they've slowly but surely got darker since. (I'm 14dpo today)
I've had some brown bleeding when I wipe for the past 24 hours, but no cramping (except trapped gas type feeling)

On Sunday I was quite poorly overnight with a bad stomach upset, could this have caused the bleeding? We also DTD on Friday night and it hurt quite a lot afterwards so I'm wondering if I've caught my cervix or something.

Sorry for rambling, we've been ttc for almost 4 years and had a loss last year around 7 weeks so I'm super anxious.

anyone had similar? I have a good feeling that it's nothing to worry about but could do with some positive stories/reality maybe.

Thanks!

This is my response on every post with bleeding in early pregnancy - I'll be honest with you & say it can go either way. People often say on here brown discharge is old blood & nothing to worry about, but when I had a mc at 7 weeks last year all I'd had was brown spotting.

However, in my current pregnancy I had brown, pink & red bleeding throughout my first trimester & was convinced I was losing it each time. I'm now 21 weeks & everything is looking good.

I do have cervical ectropion which makes my cervix sensitive & I'm sure this was the cause of my bleeding. I think if after DTD you were sore then it could be an irritated cervix.

Really hoping it's a good outcome for you 🌺

Also I was TTC for 10 years & had a ruptured ectopic & mc before this pregnancy so I understand how nerve wracking it can be!

Thank you @JackJack84 I appreciate the honesty and your story too!

Hopefully it's nothing to worry about x

@Pepperlypue I echo what @JackJack84 said, I had brown bleeding when I miscarried BUT for me it went from brown to very dark red quite quickly. I have also had brown, pink and red spotting in the first 8 weeks of this pregnancy (the brown was on and off for about 9 days) and went away bang on 8 weeks, I'm 30 weeks now and saw baby on Friday and all looked good Smile as awful as waiting is it really is a 'wait and see' situation, its a good sign your tests are getting darker in my experience, mine went faint when i miscarried. Wishing you all the best! Xxx

I had a brown bleed, that also had some pink and red tinge too, but nothing that would fill a pad - only there when I wiped - at around 4 weeks pregnant, 6 weeks and 8 weeks. I'm almost 15 weeks now and haven't had a bleed since the 8 weeks.

Pepperlypue · 13/07/2021 21:15

Thank you both!

It is only there when I wipe, it's how my last miscarriage started but like @unicornpower went from brown to dark red VERY fast whereas this time I've gone brown to pink to brown again across 24 hours, nothing on a pad and just when I wipe.

Keeping my fingers crossed for everything being okay x

Hi @Pepperlypue I had this exact same thing around the same time, I was just under 5 weeks.

I had brown blood on wiping for about 3 days plus some one sided pain. NHS scanned me and everything was in the right place - they said it was most likely implantation / baby getting comfy.

It went away and I'm now 15 weeks Smile

Pepperlypue · 14/07/2021 10:05

@zeromango thank you for the reply! Glad everything's going well for you.

I've had some heavy bleeding overnight, bright red but no clots & still no pain.
So I'm none the wiser.
tests still getting darker & im awaiting a call back from gp x

@pepperlypue how are you? did the doctor call you back?

Pepperlypue · 16/07/2021 12:54

@unicornpower sweet of you to check in! Yes I spoke to a nurse and epu. Both said wait and see. I have an early scan in 11 days booked due to recurrent miscarriages so I'm just trying to remain positive.
I've had no pain except some trapped gas type aching, however did lose a single clot yesterday that was around 1 inch which I'm worried about. However nothing I can do either way x
