Im 24+2 and have been feeling movements from about 20 weeks. Usually the mornings and evenings he's very active. Last night i barely felt anything and the same again this morning. Ive felt the odd flutter but that's it. Is this morning for 24 weeks or should I call my midwife?

Ring the maternity assessment unit at the hospital, they will check all is well for you.

I think the general rule is if it's not normal for you to get in touch with your midwife. My lo was not very mobile and i ended up in for reduced movements multiple times, she was fine in the end but it's always worth checking. To put your mind at rest if nothing else!

Call your midwife. Whilst there's no need to panic and it's probably just baby has moved the midwives will always say please ring - they would rather see you and check on baby than have you worry you've wasted their time and there be something wrong. Hope all ok OP.

Give MAU a ring.
Any change needs a check over to be safe.
I went in afew times as I had an anterior placenta!
Where is your placenta?

lockdownbabyx · 13/07/2021 10:33

Thanks all, I've called them and they're going to get someone to call me back. This is the furthest I've got with any pregnancy so this part is all new to me!

I have a posterior placenta @Purple21. I've read sometimes baby can sometimes just turn around at this stage and kick towards my back so it could be that, but better safe than sorry ☺️ x

Got an appointment for 12:20 at my local health centre. I take it they will just check his heartbeat?

They might put you on a monitor for a while.

willowtree81 · 13/07/2021 11:10

Well done, it's really great you're getting checked out. Hopefully everything will be fine but definitely better safe than sorry. ♥️

24 weeks is too early for a monitoring but they will do a reassurance listen in with a dopplerSmile please try not to worry, at this stage it's likely positional. Always best to get checked though.

Thanks everyone! He's fine, starting kicking as soon as I got home which is typical! Glad I went though ☺️ x
