Hi

I’ve just had my combined test and come away with an overall low risk result, which is great - but I’ve looked at the report and realised my blood stats seem insanely high!

HCG - 3.5174 MoM
PAPP-A - 2.5989 MoM

Has anyone else had incredibly high HCG in particular (I thought this was a marker for possible problems!)

With my son both MoMs were somewhere around 1!

Thanks Smile

Hi I had

HCG- 3.61
Papp-A- 0.61

The high hcg and low Papp-a combo did bring my risk of Down syndrome in at 1 in 300. Compared to my last pregnancy which was 1 in 10,000.

I opted for a NIPT test where the risk went back to 1 in 10,000. I haven’t had my nhs 16 week appointment yet but I’ll be asking reasons why my scores could be like that and if I should be concerned about low paap-a. As far as I’m aware the high hcg is quite common and lots of people have high hormones naturally during pregnancy. X
