I haven't had a period yet and husband and I had sex only twice. I know you can fall pregnant, I am well educated but very naive and stupid. It was our anniversary and then just because but as no period NO clue when I would ovulate of I a over late.

I don't breastfeed, I pump but now slowly reducing my sessions as I am not coping well mentally or physically.

We have two already. I do want three - just not that early. Well, if I was pregnant then it wouldn't be the end of the world. Just a bit worried as I had my second c section.

Anyone else fell pregnant without a period shortly after they had their baby?

He is no longer is a newborn but I'm still so so so loved up - I'm just inbetween writing this and staring at him x

You can be fertile from 3 weeks after birth. You would ovulate before your period so yes you could be pregnant without your periods returning

I know someone who's children are exactly 9 months apart in age. The second was full term so mum was pretty much pregnant straight after or very soon after giving birth.

53 weeks between mine and DS was late so yep it's defo possible.

gemloving · 12/07/2021 09:03

@MarshmallowsOnToast WOW! Just imagine, well this could be me (almost) lol! I suppose it's best to laugh at it for now ....

@Crazysheep how did you cope with the two being so close in age? Are they close now? That's the only upside I would hope for x

Please do take care with contraception from now on if not pregnant- after 2 csections it could be problematic so soon.

Mamamamasaurus · 12/07/2021 09:22

Have you tested?

gemloving · 12/07/2021 09:51

@Mamamamasaurus no test would show a positive yet - too early.

I found out I was pregnant 12 weeks after having our twins via elcs, I miscarried at 8wk though.

Crazysheep · 12/07/2021 10:10

@gemloving I'm not going to lie it was tough going in the early days especially as I had an ds already who was 4 at the time. More than worth it though. They are incredibly close. Get mistaken for twins all the time but do everything together.

I have 2 with less than a year between them. It was really hard when they were tiny but I was on my own with them, as they have grown up I think it has been really special and I think myself quite lucky to have had them the way I did although people were very judgemental of me.

They enjoy doing the same things and can get on really nicely when they want to. They're teenagers now so we are in the moody phase but I still love their closeness!

gemloving · 12/07/2021 11:03

@Crazysheep I can imagine it being bloody hard. I have a 10 week old and a 2 1/2 year old and find that hard although I'm getting the the hang of things and it's getting easier.

@yellowbaglady sounds like you're a great mum! & don't worry about judgement. No matter what you do, you get judged. I can't imagine having teenagers, both of mine are babies, well 2 1/2 - he isn't a baby but he is a big baby really x

But you haven’t tested, and you’ve only had she twice, haven’t had a period yet and no idea when/if you ovulated. Yeah, you can get pregnant this soon but you probably haven’t.

I wouldn’t be worrying about it just yet. Chances are you are not pregnant at all.

*had sex

You had no period and have no idea when you ovulate - but you say it's too early. How do you know, you have no dates to work from?

Mamamamasaurus · 14/07/2021 16:02

*ovulated

gemloving · 14/07/2021 16:33

@Mamamamasaurus because I know when I had sex? Even if I ovulated on the same day and I had a period, I wouldn't test before 14 days after.
