No nausea or morning sickness - is it normal?

When did you get nausea, morning sickness and/or food aversions in your pregnancy?

I'm 7 weeks 4 days and have not experienced any of this yet.

Symptoms I've been experiencing are really sore boobs, constipation, bloating and constant hunger. I've had an ultrasound already, they said everything looks good but they did see a 5mm bleed on the ultrasound, which they think will sort itself out - next scan at 10 weeks.

I thought it was normal to not have nausea and sickness until I just googled it and it said I will most likely miscarry!!

Any advice appreciated, would love to hear your symptoms x

I had zero sickness and have a nearly 3 year old asleep upstairs! I think I remember reading somewhere 20% of women are not affected by morning sickness at all. Who knows how true that percentage is but whatever it is maybe you're just in it like i was. Pregnant again now - very early - and waiting to see if I'll be lucky again! Try not to worry Thanks

Don’t count your chickens…… I said the same to my sister when I was 7 weeks of. At 9 eeeks I was hospitalised with hyperemisis.

Chanel05 · 11/07/2021 21:37

Enjoy not having it! Symptoms or lack of are not an indication of having a miscarriage.

adagio · 11/07/2021 21:38

I’ve got 2 kids, no morning sickness at all on either. I did have really horrific flatulence though Grin

PiuVinoPerFavore · 11/07/2021 21:42

Zero nausea or sickness, 2 healthy babies. It's very hard not to worry but when you feel moving you relax a bit IME.

Thissucksmonkeynuts · 11/07/2021 21:44

At 7 weeks +4, yes, normal. Hold your hat for the coming weeks.

snowone · 11/07/2021 22:14

I had no sickness with either of my DDs. Just horrendously sore boobs and awful heartburn from about 12 weeks onwards 🙃

Vodkabulary · 11/07/2021 22:15

Never had morning sickness with any of my healthy pregnancies.

JamMakingWannaBe · 11/07/2021 22:24

No nausea.
No morning sickness.
Got an addiction to BabyBel (never eaten one since DD was born).

jellybe · 11/07/2021 22:26

I had nothing with my first. Wasn't until my boobs started aching did it even cross my mind that I might be pregnant. Honestly, I would worry it is more common then we think that women don't have any sickness.

Ya91 · 11/07/2021 22:26

I’m 13+6 now was waiting for it to hit all of the first trimester and it never came, midwife reassured me some people are lucky and not to worry about it!

jellybe · 11/07/2021 22:26

Wouldn't worry ( really need an edit button)

VariantL1130 · 11/07/2021 22:28

Two kids. No morning sickness. Textbook easy births as well.

I try not to get too smug about it. My kids are horrors if it helps.

Peppallama · 11/07/2021 22:30

I didnt get morning sickness in either of my pregnancies that went to term. I do get nauseous but it means I need to poo! So it's like morning sickness and will wake me up but if I poo often it goes. I think it's a nerve or something that triggers it. But even with that I didn't have hardly any nausea at all.

Echobelly · 11/07/2021 22:33

Sure pregnancy 'health' is nothing to do with morning sickness, I never had anything regular beyond a mild feeling of nausea mid morning for a few weeks with DD, nothing like that with son. Both pregnancies I threw up almightily once at the end of the first trimester, but that was it.

1stWorldProblems · 11/07/2021 22:41

No morning sickness with DD1 at all. With DD2 my gag reflex was set off by cleaning my teeth & I felt nauseous on swings. The number of people who asked me if I had this the first time round still amuses me as I didn't go on swings when I didn't have any children & full-time job during pregnancy #1! Enjoy it.

I thought almost one third of women don't get morning sickness. Roughly two thirds do, and only one third actually vomit. I've had a little bit of nausea, but know some friends and family members haven't had any with their children and have been very lucky

HappyAsASandboy · 12/07/2021 12:45

I didn't get nausea or sickness with any of my 5 pregnancies. Three pregnancies went to teen (one of them twins) and two ended in miscarriage. I felt nothing any different with any of them.

expectinglittlebear · 12/07/2021 12:48

It may just be that it hasn't kicked in yet! I was so smug around 7-8 weeks because I had no nausea or sickness at all.. BAM get into week 9 and constant nausea and vomiting, now on anti-sickness tablets.

It is very common to not experience any though, you might just be one of the lucky ones!

Also, please don't google symptoms, it is the worst thing you can do!! xx

Skybluepinkgiraffe · 12/07/2021 12:49

My mum had no morning sickness and three healthy pregnancies.
I was very sick with all mine, starting from about 8 weeks.
Congratulations and try not to worry Flowers
Oh one of my friends had no idea that she was pregnant till 5 months (her periods have always been irregular and she just didn't notice 😂)

Inthesky42 · 12/07/2021 12:50

No morning sickness on either pregnancy. Some mild nausea and burping in the first Trimester with both (slightly worse the 2nd time round) but never really felt properly sick!

NaToth · 12/07/2021 12:53

I had HG in my first pregnancy and absolutely nothing in my second. Two healthy DC.

messybun101 · 12/07/2021 14:25

Hit me at 13 weeks. Don't wish for it

Lalanbaba · 12/07/2021 14:45

Never, the only symptom I got through pregnancy was being slightly hungrier than usual and a growing belly.

Ultimatecougar · 12/07/2021 14:48

I never had any sickness with the pregnancies of my 3 children
