Leaking colostrum at 27 weeks… normal?

Have been leaking tiny bits of colostrum over the last few days. It’s like my body thinks right, 3rd trimester = go time 😳

Is this normal to have so early? A good sign for breastfeeding or bad?

Totally normal, and not indicative about breastfeeding one way or another. Chances are, you will be able to breastfeed just fine.

Very normal. That lasted throughout pregnancy for me. I had to sleep in a soft bra so I could wear pads.

Yes, I started leaking in the August before my ds1's January birth. It was a surprise...

Yep I really leaked it early on, some women don’t till much closer to the end or not at all, but I could wake up drenched or leak often during the day.

Yes normal. I had crustiness on my nipples all the time because of it in late pregnancy!

I started leaking it every now and again around 18 weeks. Just a bit here and there. I really hope it doesn't have anything to do with how good your supply will be though because I'm not bf🙈

I started leaking at around 20 weeks, and ended up having a pretty good supply of milk when breastfeeding. With hindsight I would have expressed some ahead of the birth as it took a while to get the feeding going and we syringe fed for a few days.

I noticed it around 19wk this time, the earliest I've had it in 5 pregnancies (inc a twin one). Hoping it's a good sign but still prepped with formula anyway as I didn't do well bf with older kids.

It is extraordinary, I had the same and if I squeeze my breasts even now, my youngest DC is eight, I still have a bit of milk come out. Bodies are weird. My youngest DC did breast feed for ages though.

Yes totally normal. For anyone reading, it is also normal not to leak at all during pregnancy.

I had with both pregnancies and had very good milk supply with both, from about 16 weeks with the 2nd. This may not be related but it is my experience.
