I've had loads of comments about how small my bump is at 28 weeks and how I don't even look pregnant 💔 as an anxious FTM this doesn't help me. Can anyone make me feel better!?

Sorry, posted too soon. He was born at 38 weeks weighing 6lb 12oz so very healthy size.

I’m sure your baby will be fine.

I'm so sorry that people are saying that to you. I had the exact same thing through my pregnancy as a FTM. It made feel like crap as i had a horrendous pregnancy suffering from hyperemesis and felt like i had failed already. I wanted to sometimes scream back "well if I was big and fat would you comment about me as well?" Try your best to not let the comments hurt you. Easier said than done I know. Everyone carries so differently when pregnant and I wish women would compliment one another and not aay hurtful comments. From one mum to another, youre doing fab and you'll have your little one in your arms very soon. Cherish all the newborn cuddles ❤

People say stupid things! I had the opposite. People carry differently. Some have smaller bumps some have larger bumps as long as baby is on track and healthy do not take any notice x

I didn’t have a bump. Until 28 weeks!! Then everyone told me I was small. Was I sure I was pregnant and sure of my dates?! (yes I had ivf!!). I had weekly growth scans. Baby measured bang on 50th percentile every time. I just carried small. He was born a very healthy and normal size of 7lb 4oz at 40+3. Some people just carry small.

Also some people just need to comment on anything when you’re pregnant. It’s a very annoying side effect of pregnancy!

I had twins but felt very sick and didn't eat much for first 3 months.
I actually lost weight.

A trainee midwife freaked me out by saying how small my bump was.

My obstetrician said not to worry in the slightest,
" there is no benefit to getting fat and babies are parasites that will successfully take all they need from you"

My dc were 5 4 and 6 4 which given I'm only 5 foot five inches wasn't bad at all.
Don't worry OP.

I had the same, but I was measuring much more behind and was sent for lots of scans and Doppler checks, turned out baby had IUGR and I had a c section planned for 33 weeks, then moved to 37 as she seemed fine, just small. She was fine, born at 4lb 13oz. - but I sympathise; I had the ‘you don’t look pregnant’ ‘just a beer belly’ comments a lot and I was really enjoying my pregnancy otherwise. I do feel like I missed out on that part of pregnancy.

However one good thing for me personally is that because I had no bump, I’ve got no mum TOTUM and no fold over my incision. I basically sprung back to normal within a couple of days - I even lost weight but that was because I was too scared to poo after the surgery so appetite was low 😂

Mine was small at 28 weeks and I was sent for a growth scan. All of a sudden around 30 weeks it just appeared! I think it has been to do with how low down and far back the baby had been lying
