Should I bother with another test?

My period is late, it's been around 45 days since my last period. 2/3 days ago I started having some brown stringy discharge but it never progressed into a period and even barely shows when I wipe.

Today at noon I peed, forgot to do the test. Then I drank some water intermittently and took the test about an hour and a half later. I knew my pee wouldn't be super concentrated but I figured that if I were pregnant it would be a few weeks already and something would show. Well it was 100% negative, no line.

I kind of don't feel like wasting another test as I bought expensive ones, and since the first was so obviously negative, but at the same time wonder what the chances are I still might be pregnant since I didn't use it in the most proper way.

Would it show a (faint) positive at around 6 weeks if you took the test an hour after drinking water? Thanks

I think it probably would. By around 6 weeks my lines were very dark. Maybe give it a week? If your TTC internet cheapies are fine for testing, just make sure you get pink dye ones

I might try in a week then, if my period still didn't come through. Would be my first missed period ever. So strange. Thanks Smile

I didnt get a positive until 6 weeks after my last period and it was very faint. It was the first time ever I'd been more than just a few days late.. Turns out for some strange reason I ovulated extremely late that month. I dont track ovulation so had no idea.. and we only found as when we went for 12 week scan we were 10 weeks. I still can't figure out how the dates all match up properly but we're almost 18 weeks now and no issues so don't tend to over think it. Could be something like that. Or could just generally be a first missed period or extremely late..

The advice of waiting for a week is the best one :) gets expensive constantly testing otherwise :)
