Pregnant at 45

Hi, just found out I am pregnant at 45. Have 3 kids already and the youngest is 4yo. Had previous pregnancy that ended due to complications with trisomy 18. Anyone else been in the same situation? Very mixed feelings RN due to the whole stress of what is to come.

Not 45, but 43. 3 other children and had 1 termination due to child having trisomy 21 and significant heart and brain deformities. In all honesty…. It was the best thing that ever happened to me! DS is now 7 and I couldn’t imagine life without him. Good luck OP with whatever you choose!

30 weeks pregnant with #3 at 44. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster - definitely feeling my age w the symptoms and keep having to have a lot of age-related monitoring/tests but so far all is well and we can't wait to meet him ❤️

Love Reading this I'm 38 ttc first with 4 miscarriages and 1 cp so reading this has giving me hope that I can still achieve my dream of being a mother cause I thought it was all over 💚

Thanks for reassurances everyone. I'm booking in to get a harmony test as soon as I can and take it from there. Feel I am a bit better prepared for the problems/stress ahead due to previous experience but also at the same time I will be 46 on due date and never thought for one second I'd be in this position as was having lots of peri menopause symptoms. Such a high chance of mc at my age too but just going to roll with it and stay as positive as possible. Also secretly hoping a new baby will calm down my very boisterous and naughty 4yo!!!!!
