Hiya,

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. I’ve had so many ectopic beats during this pregnancy it’s unreal. I’ve had an ECG & 24 hour monitor and everyone seems happy with the results. I lay in bed at night and have hundreds of the things and I have hundreds during the day too. It’s really getting me down - they’re not painful & in fact they’re quite gentle so not the big BOOM ones but they scare the shit out of me because there are just so many - sometimes I have about 6 in a row. I’ve had them from about 24 weeks & I’m now 34 weeks. All the worrying really isn’t helping with the 3rd trimester tiredness! Xx

Iron levels are fine but I have C-PTSD so it’s all probably because I’m an emotional wreck but they’re making me even more of a wreck!

I’m 23 weeks and have been getting them for about 4 weeks now, mostly when I’m lying down in bed. My midwife didn’t seem concerned but my GP was much more thorough and checked my oxygen levels, pulse, bloods etc. All fine. She told me baby is growing fast at this stage and my blood vessels are expanding to pump more blood to the baby which is causing the palpitations. She said to look out for sweating or pain but otherwise not to worry. I am fortunate to be in a stress-free time in my life so I do think it’s just one of those quirks of pregnancy rather than something more sinister. But it is a horrible feeling!
