I'm 18+1, first pregnancy, I know all pregnancies are different, just wondering if anyone else is or has suffered with headaches, even at my stage. I don't get them everyday but most days and sometimes they are particularly bad, my BP is fine and baby doing fine on scan. I don't get it!

I had headaches almost daily from around week 15-18, then they just suddenly disappeared. Drinking plenty of water and electrolytes helped me

In my first pregnancy I had sooo many headaches and migraines in the first trimester and practically none at all after that. This time I was the same first trimester but I've been getting a fair few headaches even in the second trimester now too which is a pain. But I'm someone who regularly suffers from headache and migraine pre-pregnancy so it's not new. I try to drink lots of water, try to get enough sleep, and I use Migraine Kool N Sooths and/or 4head roll on for comfort. If I get a really bad migraine that I can't bear I take paracetamol and codeine (only a few times so far this pregnancy). Unfortunately taking paracetamol alone does absolutely nothing for my headaches so I don't bother.

Drink some caffeine, coke or coffee. Your blood vessels are dilated and with the increase in blood volume it can cause headaches.
Have a cup of strong coffee which will help with the blood flow and decrease the headaches.
I had exactly the same thing around 16-17 weeks and the coffee was a godsend!

Good luck!

Yea I too had headaches from around 18-24 weeks, I'm now 25 weeks and they seem to be getting less frequent. All checks were ok with the midwife and my GP.

I’m waking up every morning with a headache - I’m quite headachy in general anyway and do get migraines but am getting quite sick of them to be honest! Have read that they are hormonal and will hopefully get better later in pregnancy so keeping fingers crossed for that (14 weeks currently).
