Bleeding as much as a normal period also had moderate period pains last night... had a scan 2 days ago and had healthy baby with a strong heartbeat but bleeding didn’t properly start until the night of that scan after I left hospital.. midwife said I’d definitely know if it’s a miscarriage but I just don’t know anymore😫 just need some positive stories as my breast tenderness/pain is the only bit of hope I have atm 😫😫 pain has gone down to mild cramps now but still bleeding the same amount. trying to remain positive but just want my baby to be ok🙏🏻

I don't have a positive experience to share with you, but I recently had bleeding at 7 weeks. My breast tenderness and morning sickness disappeared practically straight away. My bleeding became very heavy and passed several large clots. Even still, the doctor said we wouldn't know for certain until the follow up scan. Do you have any follow up appointments? I'm sorry you're having to go through this. Being in limbo is the worst.

I meant to add if you're still experiencing symptoms that sounds more hopeful than my experience.

Hi @Bluebutterflyy sorry you're going through this its so stressful! I have had bleeding which was like a period during my pregnancy (at 8 weeks 5 days) also after seeing healthy baby on screen 2 days before. I thought for sure with the amount of blood it was a miscarriage but baby is fine. I get brown spotting every now and then (now 10 weeks 3 days) which is stressful but they found at my scan I have blood left over from implantation which will either work its way out or eventually reabsorb. Bleeding is very common, I was told only to worry if filling a pad every 20 minutes (who wouldn't worry at that!?!) and if I was passing clots the size of my palm (again... no shit!!)

I hope all is ok for you!

@peanutmm sorry to hear it wasn’t a positive experience, the not knowing is just horrible 😩 Thankyou for your reply though and ever so sorry it didn’t work out well for you. Xx

@DoctorBambino Thankyou that’s very reassuring to hear. Did you have any cramps? Mine have been on and off but no worse than period pains (my period pains have always been quite bad though). I have a UTI atm and midwife found that I was ovulating too and said that might be giving me pain but this was all before all the bleeding come.
I never knew that bleeding was common in pregnancy before all of this so maybe that’s why I’m so panicked! Thankyou for you’re reply, hope all is good for you too and hope that we can actually start enjoying pregnancy! Can’t wait for the first trimester to be over! Xx
