High Blood Pressure?

Hi, i'm wondering if someone can help!😩

I've had bad headaches that Don't ease with paracetamol for the last 2 weeks. I had a consultant appointment on Monday for something else but my blood pressure was 132/87, which i thought was high as at my booking it was 117/76.

She didn't seem concerned but asked if i'd had high blood pressure in my last pregnancy which i said no, then sent me on my wayConfused

Can't help but feel something is wrong. Any advise or anyone else gone through something similar?

Because of the headaches I'd definitely recommend getting in touch with your midwife or triage.
I had high blood pressure in my last pregnancy and its started again this time (32 weeks) and my consultant made me stay at the appointment for another bp check as she wasn't happy with it (137/95).

Usually high blood pressure is two readings of 140/90 or higher 3 hours apart, so they wouldn't be concerned yet, it would be normal for BP to rise some bit towards the end of pregnancy.

@KHR1 was it 32 weeks when they discovered yours? I'm only 16 weeks and feel like there shouldnt have been such a rise already x

@Garman i could understand it rising towards the end but i'm only 16 weeks.. its only been 6 weeks since my booking appointment

That reading isn't really that high.

I'm 28 weeks and was in hospital Sunday & Monday with high blood pressure.
My readings were around 159/105. I had to stay in and be on medication,
I was allowed home once the bottom number reached below 90.
Different things can make your Bp rise so if it's high they tend to check it regularly to see if it comes down.

@mumtoone2019 last time it was probably about 28 weeks and this time 32. As others have said 130ish isn't very high but is still borderline and I've always been rechecked and monitored once its gone over this number. Before 28 weeks last time I had odd high readings but they would generally go down by the end of a midwife appointment so they out it down as white coat syndrome.

See she only took it once didn't re check it or anything. I have a midwife appointment on Monday so i will wait and see how it is then. Thank you x
