Has anyone else registered for a midwife online using "my pregnancy notes"? I created my account and filled in all the details last Monday and I have no idea if this now means I just need to wait to be contacted by the midwife or if I have to do anything else!!? If anyone else has done this, how long did it take before they heard anything back (midwife appointment or scan date etc)? I'm only 5 weeks so no rush but just want to check I've put myself on their radar properly!

Hi, mine are through My Pregnancy Notes too! So we might be under the same trust. Cambridgeshire/Peterborough area?

I self-referred through there and I think I was contacted about a week or so later from the midwife team who then booked in my booking appointment for when I was ~8 weeks.

If you don't hear anything by beginning of next week, give your local midwife team a call. If we are the same area, then I will be able to find you the number :)

GemLooper · 09/07/2021 09:45

Thanks @expectinglittlebear - yes, we are in the same area! 😊

Is your trust definitely using the app as a self-referral?

My trust need you to email them first to be put on the list for a booking appointment.

@GemLooper Check the link below and scroll down to where it gives the phone numbers for the midwife team in each area.

Those midwife teams are for Hinchingbrooke Hospital I believe. (Which is what I am and self referred too).

If you are under Peterborough or the Rosie, you will need to contact your GP surgery x

@expectinglittlebear - thanks. I self referred to hinchinbrook, which is where I had my first. I think I'll wait a little longer before contacting the midwife but thanks for the numbers 😊

I'm in Merseyside and I used this and got my appointment letter 2 days later. Much better system than before, this is my 2nd.

I registered via my pregnancy notes at 4 weeks (Liverpool area), was assigned a midwifery team but didn't hear anything about my booking appointment. Called them at around 8 weeks and I had slipped between the cracks - if I hadn't chased it up I wouldn't have got my appointment!

PineappleSun · 09/07/2021 15:24

Hello fellow Hinchingbrooke mums, I think my midwife emailed me to set up an account and booking appointment. Can't say I've found it particularly useful so far.

YYY85 · 09/07/2021 19:28

So glad for this post as I filled mine in last night and was wondering when I'd hear. Last time
I rang the hospital but tried today and couldn't get through so hopefully it won't take long on this.

GemLooper · 14/07/2021 13:14

Just an update to say I called the midwife team yesterday and they confirmed that I should just wait to receive a call from them. I'm 5+5 and she seemed to suggest I won't hear from them for at least a week

I sent up mine Friday and got my first appointment date in the post today so was actually quite quick

CurlyNo2 · 14/07/2021 13:40

I had my booking appointment today. Apparently, my pregnancy notes will replace the physical folder we used to carry. It also gives the midwife the ability ability chase up any blood tests etc when they log onto our portal.

Trinacham · 14/07/2021 14:00

Nice to meet others in the same area - I'm Hinchinbrooke too!
I can't remember when they first got in touch but I know I had a phone call to discuss health history when I was 7-8 weeks, then had my blood, urine etc tests at 8-9 weeks.

@CurlyNo2 I still got a physical folder to bring with me to all appointments, as well as the My Pregnancy Notes account.

Really? My midwife said I won't get an actual folder ☹

Hello,

I've just signed up to my pregnancy notes, I'm in Derbyshire.
Things were different 11yrs ago when I had my youngest so not used to this online stuff.
How has everyone found the site?
I'm still waiting to hear back but makes me feel better that you all had a similar experience

ninadust · 13/10/2021 15:53

I'm in Peterborough. It took about a week to hear back after I had submitted the form xx

Myfirst144 · 24/05/2022 16:30

Hey I have my bookings appointment next week and I have no idea what it’s for?
