Shaving legs...aargh!

Hi I'm almost 29 weeks and already struggling to shave my legs! How do you manage it? Had a bath this evening thought to have a pamper (I'm used to having daily showers) and I was shocked how uncomfortable I was in the bath and trying to shave! I've got another 11 weeks of growing yet! I want to start wearing my sandals and dresses but hairy legs won't match this! 😂

I found shaving my legs was knackering but doable. Now pubes on the other hand were a nightmare! 😂

Can’t your partner shave your legs or a friend? My dad always did this for my mum - pregnant or not.

FabBabs · 09/07/2021 08:30

I just goes at them in blind hope each day. If I miss some I hope to get them tomorrow but in reality there's a few missed patches constantly. Pubes on the other hand not a chance I haven't seen them for a long time. I was a fatty b4 pregnancy 😂.

I've got a 5 inch scar up my ankle from that very issue!

I’m 37 weeks now and this is a very interesting task to try to do 😂 after a lot of huffing and puffing I do manage, but I definitely miss a few spots!

I started epilating a couple months ago, I think it's so much easier than shaving. Dresses are my go to now with the bump so stating smooth is important!

It's awkward and just a tad painful as I have spd and a big bump at 34wk. I rarely do mine and didn't buy any dresses/skirts/shorts so can get away with just doing where my leggings don't cover lol.
On the bush front, I use the shave attachment of my epilator to trim using a mirror to see where I'm going. Again, rarely do it which has been fine as dh is at sea atm anyway.

ivfgottwins · 09/07/2021 09:49

I had twins so bump was huge - I had DH shave them 🤣

Chelyanne · 09/07/2021 09:54

@ivfgottwins I don't trust my dh to shave me, he can't just stick to the task set Wink Hmm. He had a broken leg when I was huge with twins anyway so less able than me.

Around 28 weeks I started to get my partner to do it every week haha.
I gave birth a month ago and it was amazing how easy it was after again

LittleBlackCat22 · 09/07/2021 09:56

I sit on the corner of the bath and do them. I can’t lift my legs as my spd is bad and I find it too tiring to stand ans so them in the shower. Sometimes my husband does them for me.

Partner does legs & lady bits 😂 however try sitting in front of a mirror if you struggle with your bits xx
