Had a growth scan today and baby growing well. It’s only since I’ve got home and read the report it says deepest pool 5.2cm. In my mind I remember something by about 5cm being a being low level? I should have mentioned to my consultant I’ve been having a lot of dampness down below but it was chaos in clinic today and an hour and a half late so it slipped my mind. Surely she would have mentioned if she was worried about the level on the scan?

I asked exact same question a couple of weeks ago as I was also worried. My deepest pool was 5.3cm. What seems to be the case some trusts only check the very deepest pool of amniotic fluid, not the summary of 4 pools from 4 quadrants of uterus, so the 'normal' numbers are different. The deepest pool should be somewhere between 2-8 or 3-10cm, depends who you ask. If they used summary of 4 quadrants then I think the range is 5-20 or similar. Anyway, seems we're both fine!
