1.5 exactly. Still holding onto a couple lbs at 12 weeks postpartum, mostly due to cake consumption I think.

LemonRoses · 07/07/2021 08:02

Lost weight each time.

Chelyanne · 07/07/2021 08:02

DD1 (7lb 7oz), 4st
DS (10lb 12oz), 4st
DD3 (9lb 10oz), 2.5st
DT's (8lb 5oz & 8lb 11oz), stopped weighing at 2st gain but was 7lb heavier after birth than before.
Current gained 2.5st by 16wk but stayed around the same weight since and 34+1wk now. Carrying another larger baby.

Chelyanne · 07/07/2021 08:02

DD2 not 3. Twins are both DD's too

Skybluepinkgiraffe · 07/07/2021 08:06

9 stone pre pregnancy.
8 stone 8lb at 4 months (sickness)
9st 5 at 40 weeks
9 stone at 2 weeks post partum (breastfeeding feeding)
That was first pregnancy with a 7lb 11oz baby.

Second two were similar but fir some reason I remember the exact numbers clearly for first baby.

30 years on I'm 9lb 8oz so it's cake not pregnancy that made me put on weight.
We're all so different aren't we?

Allthegranola · 07/07/2021 08:06

Half a stone with each I think. I was a normal weight to start with and had hyperemesis.

Albien · 07/07/2021 08:08

2.5st. After giving birth and allowing a few days to lose the fluids I only weighed half a stone more than pre pregnancy. But my body was totally ruined, I need plastic surgery to fix my tummy. And yet I don’t think I gained that much weight so not sure why this has happened to me? 😭

Ihaveoflate · 07/07/2021 08:09

About 2.5 stone I think, most of which appeared to be liquid! I was very small to begin with and was active throughout/didn't over eat but I'm not sure how much difference that made. Most of the weight gain was third trimester.

I lost all but half a stone fairly quickly but now have to be quite careful with what I eat just to maintain that. I don't think I'll ever be my pre-baby weight again (8st-ish) but that's okay.

amiwastingmytime · 07/07/2021 08:11

38 weeks pregnant I was 3 stone up. I had extra fluid around baby which may be why.
By 4 weeks postpartum I was back to my pre pregnancy weight.

Celandines · 07/07/2021 08:12
  1. Lost 2 stone in the first fortnight after giving birth (didn't diet) the rest came off in the first year or 2
Peacefulspirit · 07/07/2021 08:21

Bloody hell, I am slightly appalled by my weight gain now! 3 stone up at 27 weeks, though I did completely eat my way through the first trimester.
It has been a long time since my 4 other babies but I hope it was similar and I magically managed to lose it after!

Mummytomylittlegirl · 07/07/2021 09:51

I think so far it’s at least 2 stone but can’t be bothered to keep weighing myself. 35 weeks with twins currently. My BMI was 28 before I got pregnant due to my lockdown eating!

With DD I put on about 3-4 stone, and lost it pretty quickly breastfeeding.

I try not to worry about weight gain during pregnancy to be honest, I just see it as something I need to get through. I make sure I get the treats and nice food and getting back in shape can be dealt with later. Smile

Tilly18101 · 07/07/2021 10:00

12lbs so far at 23weeks with first baby! Normal BMI of 23 pre pregnancy - hoping I don’t go over 2 stone but I’m also not getting too fixated on numbers either - it’ll go on if it needs too for baby, and come off when it needs too for me!

HotPotatoHotPotato21 · 07/07/2021 10:07

2 stone in first pregnancy but BMI was around 30. I lost that all within 6 days pp, by 4.5 months pp I was down a total of 4.5 stone with a healthy BMI thanks to breastfeeding!
Currently 30+4 and have gained 12lbs from pre pregnancy weight although I started off a stone lighter this time and was much stricter with myself in the first trimester. From the weight I lost in the first trimester with not drinking and having covid, I'm actually up nearly 2 stone from my lowest.
Hoping to lose lots breastfeeding again and not gain most back drinking in lockdowns.

Willwebebuyingnumber11 · 07/07/2021 10:10

I put on 15lb with DS2 so 1stone 1lb.
DD1 11lb & DS1 12lb

Sweetpea12 · 07/07/2021 11:09

1 stone 8lbs so far and I’m just over 38 weeks

boymum88 · 07/07/2021 11:16

About 2 stone this time lost 1 within a couple of weeks now 12 weeks pp and the last stone in hanging on.
1ds about a stone struggled to lose any as he was 12 weeks Prem so a lot of emotional eating, took about a year to loose the weight but did find my body shape changed. Hips def got wider

shivawn · 07/07/2021 11:23

I'm 27 weeks now and I've gained 1 stone and 1 pound so far! Its all bump and a little in the boobs!

user159 · 07/07/2021 11:24

I started with bmi of 25 so upper end of 'acceptable!' Put on 1.5st in total. I weighed myself the day I gave birth at 42 weeks to an 8lb baby.
Came off quickly, back in normal clothes within 6 weeks.

OverTheWater · 07/07/2021 11:26

I do think the responses to this are hard to interpret without starting points.

First pregnancy- started at bmi 22 - gained exactly 2 stone

Currently 20 weeks - started at bmi 19 - have already gained 1 stone 3lbs so likely gain around 3 stone in total Shock but midwife isn't concerned as starting weight was so low.

Caspianberg · 07/07/2021 11:33

Yes I think lower bmi = higher weight gain on average. Like I said, 3 stone here, but lose bmi to start with, didn’t eat much more but must have held onto weight whilst pregnant as needed and then straight back off

catqueen7 · 07/07/2021 11:44

I'm only 26 weeks and I've gone from 9 stone to 10 stone 3 already 😭

Sweetpea12 · 07/07/2021 11:47

I went from my BMI being at 21 to 25 I was 9 stone 12 before becoming pregnant and now I’m 11 stone 6. For the first time ever I’ve looked at scales and not cared for the number as long as I have a thriving baby Smile as a first time mum can I ask does the baby bump disappear quite soon?

cookiecreampie · 07/07/2021 11:59

4 stone with my last baby. He was just under ten pounds.

BurningBenches · 07/07/2021 12:25

Baby 1 started at a healthy bmi, put on 4.5st
Babies 2&3 started at overweight bmi gained a stone each time, babies were 8lb 15 and 9lb10 respectively, ended up lighter post birth than booking in.
Baby 4, BMI obese (32) gained 1st again, baby was 9lb5, lighter post birth.
Baby 5 bmi 32, gained about 20lb (i blame homeschooling) baby was 9lb and I am 6lb heavier post birth, shes 2.5wks old.
