I took a test this morning and it’s positive. I haven’t yet told DH because I’m in shock. We have 14m twins and are just about coping. Anyone else in this position?! I keep telling myself to breathe, it will all be ok...

Hi,
I'm the other way round. I have a 14
Month old and found out we're expecting surprise twins. Shocked and daunted with managing 3 under 2, and cost of childcare etc that will come. Its been a few weeks since we've found out and we've gotten our heads around it more and just in the mind set that it'll all work out. We'l have a tough couple of years but the payoff will be we have our kids done and will all be close in age, hopefully meaning they'll have a nice relationship. Good luck xx

Congrats and good luck. Small age gaps are hectic but lovely.

Not now but been there. We had a shock twin pregnancy when we already had 3 children who were aged 9, 4 & 2 when the twins arrived. It was full on but we survived and 34wk with baby number 6 atm, twins are 6yr now.

Thanks for the solidarity! It is doable, isn’t it? I am worried we are getting to a good place and having a third so soon will ruin that...
Still haven’t told DH. Might wait a few days.....although he has just joked about pregnancy soon so I can stop working (in a job I hate).

@lovepositivity twins are awesome! do you know what you’re having?

@Houserenoqueen I told my husband after tested and really expected him not to react very positively but it was ok. Took him a few days to process it! He's sorta excited now at the prospect of twins (he really wants at least one to be a girl). We are still daunted but obviously we really don't want anything to go wrong either. I'm 10.5 weeks now so don't know yet, but they are most likely non identical so we could have any combo.

I think it has to be doable. We may need to lower our standards and adapt our expectations but need to imagine our future selves looking back at this brief period of craziness, laughing! 😂.

I'm sure your DP will get his head around it and be excited! It's his fault it happened too- keep reminding him of that 😂😂xx
