Amniotic fluid or discharge?

Sorry if this is TMI but…

I’ve read online about the differences between leaking amniotic fluid and discharge numerous times but has anyone had experience of this.

It’s been noticeable since Friday really and I find large wet circles in my pants.
I noticed over the weekend it was very wet down below and even after wiping it still felt wet.

I’ve put a pant liner on today and that’s damp and it’s faint yellow and has a non offensive odour to it I’ve just changed it now I’m back from work and will monitor it for an hour.

I’ve read online that amniotic fluid smells sweet? But in what way?

I’m 32 weeks today and concerned it could be amniotic fluid bur equally not sure if it suits an increase in discharge.

Any thoughts? If it’s still concerning me later I’ll call triage

If you’re unsure, ring triage and they’ll be able to have a look for you

I think it would be sensible to get it checked out, just in case.

Even if it is discharge, that sounds like a lot and needs checking.

Definitely ring triage. My midwife told me sorry tmi that apprently it smells like semen, and if you can't cough without leaking then u need to be seen ASAP.

My waters went very slowly at 39 weeks with my daughter. I really wasn't sure if it was amniotic or discharge/ I was slightly wetting myself. I was having no contractions and it turned out I wasn't even dilated.

It can be hard to tell....

1 I would get it checked ASAP and hopefully they will just reassure you, but better to know.
