Have noticed a few times a little bit of blood on panty liner (just a tiny bit like at the very, very end of a period), would this worry you? Didn't have any last time (DD 2.5). Have had routine scan and all was fine, also plenty of fetal movement each day. Is it time I mentioned it to my midwife (not due to see her for a few weeks so haven't told her)?

Tell MW, best to play it safe. Likely to be totally fine, but best to be checked and take it as easy as you can in the meantime.

You could phone NHS24, I've found their service to be a bit patchy, but they'll maybe put your mind at rest and let you get on with your weekend

i would phone your midwife to reassure yourself - it is what they are there for, and if you are very worried, your maternity dept of your hospital will see you and reassure you, so why not give them a call? i am sure there is absolutely nothing to worry about. i had "periods" for the first 3 months of my pg (only for one hour, or so each time!) - tailing off to tiny blood spots on the day i was due each month, until about 6 months when, thank god, they stopped!! my baby was absolutely fine and the doctors/midwives were very reassuring, not at all bothered by my panicked calling and generaly just lovely. i hope everything is all right for you.

Thanks, you're both right, should phone to be on safe side but probably not worry too much. Many thanks

I had two light bleeding episodes and they came to nothing.

Speak to your mw for reassurance.

I would get it checked. I had this at 25+ weeks with DTD. I trace of brown blood when I wiped - it was mucousy. MWs weren't concerned at teh time. I was told to call back if it turned to fresh (red/pink) blood. 10 days later it was pink (but still only a trace) and I gave birth within 48hrs. It turns out the brown mucous was my show that I shed slowly over the 10 day period.

There are many causes for bleeding in pregnancy, many don't come to anything. You could have a harmless cervical erosion (which was my original diagnosis). BUT after my personal experience I would always recommend getting it checked sooner rather than later.

Thanks SMSS. Haven't even had a trace upon wiping, so I've not been too worried. Would certainly have been more concerned with fresh blood. I'll call tomorrow, I think.
