Has anyone been moved forward a whole week?

So I had my dating scan today at what I thought was 12 weeks, my last period was the 12th April, and we only dtd once in the fertile window which was on Cd14, apparently I would have ovulated on CD8, so now been pushed forward to 13 weeks!
Anyone else had similar? Confused!

Hi, yes I had this. I was following ovulation for ages and so know exactly when I ovulated the month I conceived which was CD12. So I knew that my due date might be brought forward a bit, but they ended up bringing it forward by a full week. I don't mind because it means I now have a due date of 18th Dec rather than 25th but it's very confusing, especially since I know the exact day I ovulated and it definitely wasn't CD8!! I do wonder if I'll end up going overdue because baby won't be ready on 18th, but I've had two scans since the twelve week one due to spotting and baby seems to be on track with given EDD 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yup, very similar to you both. I was tracking ovulation really carefully with bbt before my first pregnancy and the 12 week scan put my due date 5 days earlier than LMP due date. This pregnancy I wasn’t tracking with bbt but I’m 99% sure from other signs of when I ovulated and again the 12 week scan puts me 5 days further along than I think I can be. Don’t even think we’d had sex in time to conceive for the current due date. It doesn’t matter enormously most of the time, but it’s worth talking through with your midwife if you go overdue and they want to induce. I was happy to induce at 41+5 as recommended but going by my dates instead of theirs.

Hi yep I’ve been moved forward a week! Ovulation sticks used etc so I had a rough idea of when I ovulated, and reliable 30 day cycles. Original due date put me at 19th October. My 12 week scan put my due date to 12th October! I’m currently 26 weeks so no idea what will happen in terms of early/on time/late. I asked my midwife about my trust policy as I was curious to know if they’d take the fact I’d been bumped forward a week into consideration if I am to go “overdue”. She said it would be something they would definitely chat about and if I was to go overdue, they could wait longer until suggesting induction etc.

Yes and then some - I was brought forward to a date when I was a) on my period, b) was on holiday with just my parents, and c) had not had sex at any time close by. I had unprotected sex with DH once only in that cycle, so was pretty confident I was more accurate on dates than them! My dates gave my the 20th of the month and I ended up with an ELCS on the 7th (their version of 39 weeks). DD was only 6lb 11 at birth, so I think we were around 37 weeks in actual time.

I didn't get moved forward by a week but they put me forward 3 days from my ivf date some babies just grow quicker / are bigger .

Carrotgarrotte · 05/07/2021 18:37

Yep I was with my DS

Rosesareyellow · 05/07/2021 18:42

I got moved back two weeks. I knew that would happen because I have a long cycle so ovulate later but my midwife insisted she had to use some card that’s based on a twenty eight week cycle to calculate my dates rather than take my word for it. I’m not complaining though, I got two scans out of it.

Ya91 · 05/07/2021 18:45

Glad I’m not the only one! I track my bbt, get awful ovulation pain and had sex once that month so I know the date! Kind of expecting to go a week overdue already!

I was moved forward for my first and I was moved 8 days back for my second. Funnily enough when he was born the peads team moved his age even further back as they were not convinced the was 37 weeks so classed him as 36 weeks.

whoknew23 · 05/07/2021 18:58

Got moved forward a week at 12 week scan, didn't think it was right . Had a miscarriage the previous month and a half before.

It was the first month I wasn't using OPKs so couldn't be sure of ovulation. My wee one was born at 38+4 and over 10lbs , long legs etc I'm guessing he was always gonna be measuring bigger.

dorothygaleandtoto · 05/07/2021 19:20

I got moved forward a week too, and like you I was charting so I know exactly the date of my LMP and ovulation. I guess it just grew quickly?! Anyway, it puts my due date as...25th December 🤦🏼‍♀️

LemonRizzle · 05/07/2021 20:13

I was moved forward 10 days and had been tracking with OPKs. This caused some stress and disagreements at the end of my pregnancy as my new due date was 25th May, original due date 4th June. They tried to force me to have an induction because I was overdue but baby arrived on 3rd June, by their standards 9 days late, by mine 1 day early!

LauEli · 05/07/2021 20:36

I was moved forward 6 days, and now she's growing two weeks ahead fundal height, so I'm guessing she's just a big baby. Ds1 was born at 38 weeks 7lb13 (87th centile)
Getting measured again Thursday then consultant Tuesday see if he puts growth scans in place 😅

PurBal · 05/07/2021 20:54

Yep. Due date from LMP was 7 days later than my 12 week scan. I also had an early scan due to bleeding and that was 3 days later. I track ovulation, I’m not convinced I ovulated and conceived an entire week earlier.

PurBal · 05/07/2021 20:57

Oh, and like PP we’ve decided not to have any intervention until I’m overdue by my dates.

WalkingMeAway · 05/07/2021 21:01

Yes. I was moved forward 8 days. I ended up having a premature baby which they originally though was 36+ but was actually only 35+ and it actually made quite a difference to his treatment at first

My delivery was by EMCS but I wonder if they
would have tried to slow my labour had they known he was only 35+, and also give me steroid injections first. They say not due to the circs but it's a regular thought of mine. We spent 11 days in hospital with him being tube fed and I feel so guilty I never questioned the change enough at the start. As I knew the date they gave me was impossible.

romdowa · 05/07/2021 21:05

I was moved 5 days ahead at my 12 week scan , even though I know when I conceived. The midwife explained that sometimes the baby can jump ahead a bit in their development. I had a scan at 18 weeks where they said the baby was a day behind and then I had a scan at 20 weeks where they said the baby was a day ahead 🤣🤣🤣 I just don't think the measurements are exact for everyone but they just have to apply some kind of standard measurement

xsjrx · 05/07/2021 21:13

Yep I was moved 5 days forward despite doing bbt, ovulation sticks, ovulation symptoms. Had also started using OvuSense so all the data was there etc etc and there was at least 7 days between the date they've given to when we dtd...where as my dates and data work out 🤷🏻‍♀️ expecting to go over their date.

Jchina · 05/07/2021 21:20

Yes! I was moved forward a week at 12w scan and they are adamant it was very accurate because it was a transvaginal scan so they got very clear views but I’m still dubious because I know exactly when we DTD! 🤷🏻‍♀️
