A belated thank you to you Mumsnetters... just after DS was born (last November) I posted a worried thread because the local midwife had told me to only feed him every four hours and if he cried in between to give him water with sugar in it. When he was 9 days old.

I queried it with you guys, who were very helpful and supportive, and not only did I not take her 'advice' but I reported her to her manager, who agreed that she needed re-training.

Anyway this week saw the GP because I am pregnant again and same midwife is attached to the surgery and I refused point blank to see her, said I would travel to wherever else, but I wanted nothing to do with her. It's a new GP so she was a bit thrown ('er, hang on, have to check what we do in this situation') but I'm really glad I did it and I just wanted to say thanks one and all because I think I got my strength this time round from thinking 'wwmd?' (what would mumsnet do?)

Cheers!
