Hi all, I found out I was pregnant last week and supposed to be due in March 2022. On Friday night I had sex with DH and on Saturday morning, I found blood in my knickers and I've been lightly bleeding since. I'm really worried I'm losing the pregnancy. It will be our first child.
I've had mild cramping today. Have you experienced spotting in the first trimester?

I will be going to get it checked out tomorrow. I'm feeling worried and slightly numb, DH is trying his best.

I had spotting at 4+0 and full on, heavier-than-a-period bleeding at 8+0. I was absolutely terrified on both occasions but the rest of the pregnancy went smoothly after that and DS is 12 weeks old now - although he was premature.

I also had really bad pains and cramps until about 7 weeks - as in, doubled over out of nowhere with severe pain Shock

It's impossible to say what will happen next and I know it's awful to have to wait Sad a private reassurance scan can be done from about 6/7 weeks if that would help Flowers that's what I did, at 7+5 and 8+1.

Sorry, I meant to add - it might be implantation bleeding, or irritation from your cervix as it is more sensitive during early pregnancy.

Thank you @applesarethebest, very reassuring, people don't tend to talk about spotting.

Hi, also due March 2022! I had some implantation bleeding just a few days ago, don’t worry until you’ve been checked over. As above it can be cervix irritation or implantation bleeding.

Best of luck and congratulations x

As others spotting is very common!
Are you filling a pad?

Hi all, just an update. I stopped spotting the very next day. I took a pregnancy test and it was still positive. The following Thursday evening, I started having cramps and feeling a lot of pressure. Friday afternoon I am shopping with DH and start having extremely painful cramps. I got home and realised I was bleeding. I sat on the toilet and this time there were clots, I cried sooo much because I knew the pregnancy was over.

I went to AE with DH. The urine sample was negative but the bloods showed I was pregnant, despite the Hcg levels being really low. I am sent home, told to monitor the bleeding and referred to the EPU.
I went through lots of superflow pads that night and I knew for sure it was a miscarriage.
Sunday the EPU, confirmed it via the bloods as the HCG levels were super super low.

Devastating as it is the first pregnancy for DH and I. I feel numb. I thought it was important to update everyone. Wishing everyone all the best with their pregnancies and thank you for the support.

@march2022
So sorry what your going through spotting when pregnant is never a good sign for me I have had 4 miscarriages and 1 cp and spotted from a positive test with every one of them so I know how your feeling right now, but be kind to yourself and look after yourself it might nit feel like it now but it does get easier to deal with 💚 I'm on a thread ttc after a miscarriage is you want to nip over its a great thread and I would be lost without the girls on it tbh good to tlk to people who have been through the same thing I have and who understand me 💚

I'm so sorry you are going through this.
I had an early miscarriage at 5 weeks last August. We tried again the following month and I'm currently sat nursing my 10 day old ds. It's such a difficult thing to go through. Look after yourself and take as much time as you need.
