Tremors keeping me awake

Has anyone had muscle tremors in pregnancy? I'm 11 weeks - was put on prochlorperazine and cyclizine for morning sickness and last week suddenly developed shivering and tremors.

It is improving now I'm off the medications - but I'm only get 5 or 6 hours sleep and lying awake tremoring if killing me. I assume I just need to wait for it to settle now I'm off the drugs but it's making me feel dreadful.

Has anyone had this?

I've never heard of this! What has your doctor or midwife said?

Hi, prochlorperazine can cause tremors as a side effect and side effects can take a while to settle as it can take time for any medication to leave your system. The general recommendation is that if you're taking prochlorperazine and develop tremors, you should contact your doctor as soon as you can - it may be that it isn't the right medication for you, and if it is causing the tremors then there are other medications which can be used to treat them until they go away. Hopefully you'll start feeling better soon. 💜

Thanks for the replies.

I've been in touch with my GP and am off everything now... Things aren't as bad as a few days ago but it's taking ages to settle down it seems. I'm really not enjoying the bad sleep 🙁 GP sympathises but there's nothing to be done but wait. Argh.

What can be used to treat the tremors? I've been told nothing.
