Am I having a miscarriage?

It won’t let me post any photos, or if so how do I do it?
I am 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I went for a pee 3 nights ago and when I wiped there was brown discharge. It has been happening since. I am having cramps in my lower back and stomach. The early pregnant unit says it sounds normal but I am not convinced at all.

I went for a bath and when I stood up brown liquid with what I can describe as granules of brown came out. No giant clots. Just small. This is my first baby and I don’t want to lose it. What is everyone’s thoughts? Has anyone experienced this and not had a miscarriage?

Cramps could also be trapped wind x

@Eleoura @Trinacham I am a personal trainer and I eat extremely healthy on the norm. Since finding out i am pregnant I’ve not been able to put a salad near my mouth, nor a chicken filet/salmon filet. The thought and smell make me feel sick. I still feel that way today, I’m assuming that’s a good sign? Did your symptoms stay or go?

It’s day 3 spotting brown. I am terrified every time I wipe. I get the fear going for a pee throughout the night. I go around 2am and 5am. It’s scary to look at the toilet roll. It’s hell at the moment x

@Abbys1 I haven't really had any symptoms, which is another reason why I was convinced it was going to be bad news at my scan x

@Shortmamashortcycles has offered you the best advice op!

Fingers crossed for you that it's all fine ♥️🤞

MummyOfOne89 · 02/07/2021 21:46

OP, like everyone is saying, they can’t give you a definite answer.

With my first pregnancy, I had spotting in the first trimester. I was worried it was a miscarriage and went straight to A&E. Luckily it was not, baby was fine and my cervix was irritated (can’t remember what they said now).

Please go to A&E. Sending you best wishes and hugs xxx.

@MummyOfOne89 @Shortmamashortcycles it’s day 3 of brown spotting and it seems to have stopped. Not had any for a few hours now even after bleeding. The cramping has stopped too. I just had acid reflux and had to be sick. It is burning my chest. I’m sort of hoping these are good signs. I’m still so nervous but trying to hope for the best until Sunday!

Took your advice, ordered a desert! Feeling as fat as ever, lol. Thanks so much everyone. It’s the scariest time of my life!

I woke up today with sorer boobs than previous and the worst morning sickness. I’m assuming this is a good sign. The cramping has stopped and minimal brown when wiping now. Scan tomorrow so praying all is well.

Good luck for tomorrow OP. With my first I had spotting and all manner of cramp type pains. I was told it was my uterus expanding rather than a MC. Hoping for good news for you.

I had bright red blood when I was 11 weeks pregnant. EPU wouldn't even see me and told me to wait until my scan on the Tuesday which would've made me 12 weeks.
This all happened on the Thursday before and I got a private scan on the Friday evening.

Thankfully, my DS was fine. They don't know what caused the bleeding but said it can be just one of those things.

The only symptoms I had in pregnancy was when I was about 2 weeks pregnant (didn't know at the time) and felt sick for an hour in the evening for a couple of nights. Then when I got to 16 weeks had sore boobs for a week and heartburn. The heartburn lasted until DS was born.

Lack of symptoms isn't something to always worry about.

Hi OP I had brown spotting for 3 days around 5-6 weeks and I was terrified as I had previous MCs. I went to the EPU as I was also having a lot of right sided pain down my side legs and back. Scan showed baby in the right place. I'm now nearly 14 weeks and baby was bouncing and jumping at the scan last week. I also have two private scans at 8 and 10 weeks which really helped. Good luck for today Smile

zeromango · 03/07/2021 09:56

Sorry for tomorrow I mean!

Shortmamashortcycles · 03/07/2021 10:57

@Abbys1, sorry you feel rotten but yes, it might be a good sign! Good luck tomorrow and let us know how it goes - will be thinking of you.

Abbys1 · 04/07/2021 21:25

Hi! So I had my scan. Healthy baby, good weight and heard the heartbeat for the first time! Which is bizarre as I had red clotting and thought it was it last night. Never cried so much.

Just had red blood drip out me too. It’s madness, not sure what’s going on but feel better now despite the bleeding!

So pleased for you @Abbys1
My spotting continues after seeing the heartbeat. Just think bleeding can be normal for some of us x

JackJack84 · 04/07/2021 21:47

@Abbys1 ah so happy for you! Hope the rest of your pregnancy is healthy & happy 😊

Shortmamashortcycles · 04/07/2021 21:58

@Abbys1, oh hooray for the good news! Hope you're resting up after the stress of the last couple of days, and 🤞 the spotting clears up soon too. As previous posters have said - hopefully it's plain sailing for the rest of your pregnancy. 😁

Eleoura · 04/07/2021 22:02

Great news, thanks for the update. Did they see a haematoma of any cause for the bleed? Any follow up?

WhoUsedMyName · 04/07/2021 22:05

@Abbys1 this happened to me around the same time also again about 12weeks he's the happiest baby he's 6months now good luck

Kona84 · 04/07/2021 22:28

My miscarriage started with brown spotting but within an hour it was bright red.
