Cramping

Hi - first pregnancy so no idea what to expect really.

Since Tuesday I've been getting some mild to moderate cramping, kinda like period pain. It mainly occurs when I stand after sitting or sit after lying down. Also had some spotting on Tuesday but only slightly.

Am 6+1. Is this quite normal?

The mild cramping is definitely ok - the spotting probably is too but if you have any doubts get in touch with your local Early Pregnancy Unit (might need referral from GP). I'm about 6+1 too, and suffer from severe cramps at night (like, really really bad). GP told me to get in touch with EPU, who did HCG and progesterone blood tests, and a scan the next day, which showed a heartbeat (not always visible at this point) and that it wasn't ectopic - which is very reassuring so I recommend trying to get the same if you can! Given how severe my cramps are, and what the consultant at the EPU explained to me, your cramping sounds absolutely fine, but you might want to get the bleeding checked just for peace of mind. Best of luck!

Thanks @Terracotta1234 I got sent to a local walk in today and it turns out I have a water infection so the doctor there thinks that's what my cramps are. She did a pregnancy test, still pregnant, and did not seem concerned about the spotting. Glad you're okay too! Thanks
