I'm 38 weeks FTM and hoping for an early arrival but think I'm just wishful thinking and fed up! How many of you where early with your first baby or on time/late?? I hope this ends soon 🙏

Babdoc · 02/07/2021 14:42

One week early with first, fifteen minutes early with second (born just before midnight the day before due date).

Mylasmummy2102 · 02/07/2021 14:45

With my first 2 daughters they were both 9 days late!

I'm currently due today with my little man and expecting he be as late as them to be honest x

jamsandwich1 · 02/07/2021 14:49

40+2 for DS and bang on due date with DD!

smaragda · 02/07/2021 14:56

Two weeks late with first, two weeks early with second!

overtherainbo · 02/07/2021 15:19

DS. 6 days after DD, natural

DD. 13 days after DD, induced on the 12th day (I'm not sure she would have come if I didn't get induced haha)

Rosesareyellow · 02/07/2021 15:20

38 weeks exactly.

mumofmunchkin · 02/07/2021 16:47

1st baby - 6 days over
2nd baby - 2 days over
3rd baby - induced at 10 days over

I am not a poster girl for babies coming on time

RachShad · 02/07/2021 17:25

Seems as though everyone is just completely different! I didnt think they still let people go so far over, I just can't think of anything worse than doing this for another 4 weeks at 38 weeks now..

yup!

my SIL one was 42w +2 with her DD1.
her 42 week date happened to be on a Saturday so she had a choice between being induced on the day before or on tje Monday.
so she opted for Monday, but went into labour on her own and had her on the Monday anyway!

my SIL2 has 10 children. she has some great stories

HotPotatoHotPotato21 · 02/07/2021 19:20

15 days late with DS1, induced at 42 weeks.
Currently 30 weeks with DD1 and hoping she arrives earlier!

MuchTooTired · 02/07/2021 19:20

36+5

DramaAlpaca · 02/07/2021 19:22

DC1 arrived spontaneously five days before his due date.

Hadalifeonce · 02/07/2021 19:22

1st 13 days early
2nd 17 days early

OldTinHat · 02/07/2021 19:24

DS1 arrived bang on his due date. He's 22 now and his birth is still the only time he turned up on time!

DS2 was 10 days early, perhaps because of much dancing and ironing stuff that didn't need ironing!

HumpHumpWhale · 02/07/2021 19:26

42 (maybe 42+1, actually) with number 1, 41 weeks with number 2. The last two weeks with my first were tedious. Very very tedious. It was hot, too.

StevieNix · 02/07/2021 19:27

My waters broke the day before my due date, labour started that evening and DS was born early hours of the day after my due date.
No induction luckily, but an induction was booked for me for a few days after my due date due to DS measuring really small on a growth scan- although this was inaccurate as he was 7lbs 4oz which was perfect!

user1471453601 · 02/07/2021 19:28

DD was born in her due date (51 years ago come sunday).

Anyone who knows the least thing about me knows I get unreasonably enraged by lateness, so she might have known😁

RachShad · 03/07/2021 11:06

Thanks people for your replies, I was just intrigued. So uncomfortable and ready for it to be over!!

@RachShad

the more kids I had the more I was convinced they should say:
"Look, take the EDD at 40 weeks with a pinch of salt. we won't let you carry baby for longer than 42w, under normal circumstances, so imagine that's the day she/he is born an pace yourself. anything earlier is a bonus"

khawk89 · 03/07/2021 11:59

1st - 3 days early
2nd - 2 weeks early
3rd - 4 days early
But all between 6lb 9 and 6lb 12. My midwife deduced that my petite frame might not cope with any bigger.

RachShad · 03/07/2021 12:18

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba yeah I guess that's a good way of thinking of it rather than getting my hopes up as it could be a long wait otherwise🙈
@khawk89 yeah I thought the same because I have quite a petite frame too, I was only 8 stone before pregnancy and 5'4 so I feel huge now and don't know how much more my body can take hahaha
