Hi, asking for a friend not for my self.
She's very early pregnant. She recently had a Chinese stir fry and it contained rice wine sauce. Now she is worried that the rice wine would affect the pregnancy. She's searched up on Internet but no clear answers
Can anyone help?

It’s going to be a tiny amount. Really not something to worry about.

It’s a tiny amount, was cooked off and will do absolutely bugger all. She needs to chill.

It’s gonna be a long old pregnancy if she’s worried about rice wine in the early stages! Tell her to relax and enjoy the lovely growing of her baby, it goes so quickly.

There won’t BE any clear answers on the internet because, with all due respect, it’s an absolutely bonkers thing to be worked up about, rice wine in a sauce.

The alcohol in food is burnt off when it's cooked. I love a bit of red wine in a bolognese, but can happily feed the resulting bolognese to my kids because there's no alcohol left in it.

She's fine.

Confused is this a thing to worry about now

I cooked with it all through my pregnancy & DD didn't suffer
