38+1 weeks !! What the hell is happening to me ?

So I am 38+1 and having a bloody show since past 10 days now. Haven't seen mucus plug but having a pink/red discharge regularly specially when I am having contractions ! About contractions, Having them on and off since 4-5 days every few minutes/hours. last night was horrible as started having contractions every 10 mins lasting about 50-60 seconds at 10 PM. managed to fall asleep and woke up with contractions at 12 AM. had them every 5-10 mins lasting about 55-60 seconds. and after 7 AM they just eased off every 30 mins lasting 40-45 seconds. having one while I am typing this !! 🤦🏻‍♀️ They come and go like a painful wave but I am still managing with breathing. Called triage and they told me to take paracetamol (lol, didn't help at all) and have a bath. I am going to turn up to hospital today and going to ask them to check me no matter what as I need to know why my labour is progressing so slow.

Has anyone else experienced the same ?

Is it your first? I’d definitely get checked out. Have you called your midwife?

My dd3 was 16 days late after weeks of contractions. It’s so frustrating.

Try to rest as much as possible When you can. The nights are always the worst for some annoying reason!

@Girlmama3 yes, This is my first. Haven't called my midwife as thats a different hospital than the hospital I am going to give Birth in due to Covid. But I was thinking of ringing her anyway today and let her know of the situation. I called Triage of the hospital I am going to give birth in. Nights are really difficult. I stayed up all night with contractions and DH also stayed up all night because of me and now He is working since 8 AM after staying up all night.
I am going to send him off to sleep in a our guest room tonight so at least one us could have a restful sleep !

You need to be checked over ASAP.

I’d definitely call your midwife. You’re still until her care so she can check you over to see what’s happening.

Is baby still moving as normal? If that changes at all you need to go straight in x
