I am (apparently) 11+5 according to a scan I had today because I am cramping.

I had a MC at 10w last year and I can't relax because one day it was alive and the next it wasn't. It was devastating.

I have had two scans so far - one private and one on the NHS and a week apart and the baby is growing okay but I am finding myself obsessing about details - the yolk sac is slightly above 6mm, the gestational sac looks smaller on the second scan etc and I am feeling crampy.

Is anyone able to give me some reassurance and or advice on how to deal with this? I don't want to be this way for the whole pregnancy!

Didn’t want to read and run. Just take everything one day at a time, I won’t tell you to not overthink everything because that is impossible and invalidates your fears! Perhaps book a chat in with your midwife (if you haven’t already) and let her know about your worries and ask for help in dealing with them and fgs stay away from over googling everything!
If it helps you to know - I was crampy often early into my current pregnancy and I am now 33 weeks with a wiggly foot wedged into my rib cage! Really wishing you the best of luck and a happy pregnancy :)

Aww bless you, it's a stressful time in early pregnancy let alone when you've had a previous loss Thanks

I just wanted to add that I had cramping quite a lot throughout early pregnancy, even sometimes when I was about 15 weeks. I'm 22 weeks now and baby is very wriggly Smile

I hope everything goes well for you Star

Hello - a pregnancy following a loss is always hard. You will be symptom spotting all the way.

Each week that passes - the odds that this pregnancy will make it get better.

You have already got past week 10 which is a good sign.

At this stage I recommend not looking too far into the future and just keep ticking off each week. Plan little milestones - 12 week check, 16 week app.

I lost 2 babies before this one and once I got to week 25 - I felt so much better.

Small steps and let your midwife your you are feeling anxious.
