19 weeks and struggling

Hello all

I am 19 weeks tomorrow and am struggling!

Still having nauseous days, still absolutely exhausted, got my third UTI, struggling with SPD pain, just started having indigestion and hiccups.

Don't know what I'm asking really, just some reassurance that I'm not alone and that other people find it tough too!

And of course the anxiety that something is wrong!

@ElmtreeMama
Awww, you're at the rough stage and it feels like things will never improve. I had a horrific time, but things became rosier after about 22 weeks and then I started enjoying my pregnancy. Keep going - I promise it improves x

RachShad · 29/06/2021 14:50

Yeah it defo improves, I found it got alot easier at about 20 weeks and then I've enjoyed majority of pregnancy up until about now(38 weeks) where I'm fed up lol

Thanks @cat709
Thats reassuring!! I feel a bit pathetic as all the pregnant women I've known seem to just get on with it and I'm finding that hard at the moment

I am 15 weeks and feel the same. I worry about everything am so anxious. If I feel to good for to long I feel like something is wrong. My diet is awful all I fancy is junk food, sometimes I feel to sick to cook dinner or just too tired. Am struggling at work as am so tired. I hate that I sound like such a negative Nancy haha I am so so excited for our baby but the pregnancy I don't find fun lol

Lovethewinter · 30/06/2021 00:00

@ElmtreeMama don't worry you aren't alone. I had awful sickness til 17 weeks this time and then the PGP started not long after. I have had more energy since about 20 ish weeks but I'm 27 weeks now and can feel the third trimester coming - pelvis getting worse and heartburn starting to be every night now, also getting tired again 😬 not all of us enjoy pregnancy - I'm sad that I don't as I always looked forward to it and it turns out I just feel like crap one way or another for most of it. Hope you start to feel better soon Flowers

Thanks @misskatie90 @Lovethewinter

Hopefully we all have some easier days ahead of us!
It's good to know its not just me

Just want to say ur not alone !!! I’m 19 weeks as well and I’ve got hyperemesis and horrific pelvic pain. I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck most days. It really does get you down especially as u say other women seem to just be able to crack on ! This is my first and I’ve already said never ever again….. in fact if I suggest another someone needs to get my head checked out as clearly something isn’t right !! Roll on November x

Hi, sorry you’re not having a good time, I’m 22 weeks and struggling too. Chronic back pain (I’ve an old injury anyway) that has flared up so badly I can barely walk some days, some people sail through don’t they? I do think there is some element in that we ‘think people sail through’ as the rose tinted glasses are on following birth so all those past pregnancy symptoms are forgotten and not mentioned! X

14.5 weeks here with first pregnancy and also finding it tough! I was a fit and healthy person before we conceived, and I now feel a shadow of my former self. I feel so lucky to be pregnant and this baby is so very much wanted, but I just feel like I've been ill for the past three months. Nausea, acid reflux, fatigue, aches and pains. My employers certainly get the best of me, as I'm useless in the evenings, and weekends are for trying desperately to get some rest so that I can manage another week. I wish I could enjoy every part of this, as other (annoying but well meaning) people tell me to, but I'm just wishing the time away. Solidarity with all those who haven't found their second trimester as rosy as advertised!
