Hi, just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to where to look for a nice dress/jumpsuit to attend a wedding after party this summer.
It doesn’t have to be maternity wear, I’m thinking something loose-ish but not too much material. My bump isn’t huge and I’m usually a size 10, I find some maternity wear is just far too much material :S
I’ve looked on ASOS, silkfred, inthestyle, Missguided, PLT.. any other places you can think of? X

Seraphine is great for maternity occasion wear. It’s quite pricey though.

There are always some lovely bits locally on Facebook marketplace and eBay. Might be worth a look there.

Tiffany rose do some nice bits for wedding maternity

mlgriffo · 29/06/2021 15:13

ASOS would always be my go to, however I've found some lovely bits from Zara either stretchy dresses, one size or go XL if fitted Smile

You can rent high-end maternity wear here bundlenjoy.com/.

Think I've also seen Seraphone on Hurr or Rotate rental sites

Having the same issue - I’ve found some nice dresses/jumpsuits on envie de fraises!

You could try Popsy. They don't do maternity but you can wear them through pregnancy, particularly the gathered styles.

I attended a wedding at the weekend and I'm 36 weeks - I wore a dress from boo hoo. I'm a higher dress size than you but I found a dress with a bit of stretch to it and felt lovely

NEXT have some nice maternity dresses: www.next.co.uk/shop/gender-women/category-dresses-sizetype-maternity

I recently got a lovely Topshop one off of Depop. I didn't want to spend a lot on a dress I'd probably only wear once.

Tiffany rose - pricey but I ended up returning everything from elsewhere - and they don’t just look like you’re wearing a sack

PlantMummy87 · 29/06/2021 21:41

Not sure if an option, but I recently hired a dress from I think it was high street. I wasn't sure about getting something I would not be sure I could wear again, and could get something really special that I wouldn't have been able to afford if buying. Hardly cost anything in comparison to buying brand new.

Hit a charity shop or two in a nice area, we have lots of amazing clothes in that would be perfect

Ednadidit · 30/06/2021 00:34

I also recommend Seraphine. Check eBay and depop - you can get dresses that have been worn for one occasion for quite a lot less than in store.

Brunts12 · 30/06/2021 00:49

To my surprise, last night I saw a couple of lovely maternity dresses in M&S online, reasonably priced too.
Next and Seraphine were already mentioned too.

shivawn · 30/06/2021 07:37

I've had the same problem and ordered a bunch of maternity occasion wear only to send them all back! The dresses I got from Seraphine made me look really mumsy and the ASOS ones just weren't me at all! I actually ended up finding 2 maxi dresses from Monsoon in my wardrobe from years ago that are stretchy enough to fit around my bump, I attached a photo of one here but I have it in red too. If you have a lot of dresses already then I definately recommend going through your wardrobe to try things on, you'd be surprised what will accommodate a big bump! At least then you're wearing things that are you rather than choosing from a very limited selection of maternity wear.
