Hi Guys!

So I have done everything possible to prevent from getting stretch marks on my tummy but the last couple of weeks no matter what I do they are coming and are a purple colour! I have 5 and half weeks left till my due date! And one thing I didn't want was stretch marks on my tummy! I have also got them on my thighs and bum but I don't mind about that I just didn't want them on my tummy :( it's making me so self conscious and not attractive in the slightest.

Anyone have any recommendations on what I can do to make them better or prevent from getting anymore?

Thank you x

It’s genetic OP. There is zero you can do about it, sorry!

All you can do is stay well hydrated snd hope for the best.
Moisturising will help with itching etc but the damage to the skin happens in the deepest layers and no lotions or potions can help.

Secret saviours belly band helped me and I covered myself in oil all day every day.

However I'm an 'older' mum who has yoyo dieted and my tummy has been big in the past so maybe that's why my skin accommodated the (very) large bump I grew!

when I read about it I remember that the only thing that has been shown to help is rosehip oil. Worth a try. Massage very well

Thank you, I'll have a look at this later! This is my first so could be why! Just hate that I tried everything and now it's happening he must be getting bigger in the last stages x

Thank you I'll have a look at this although I have been using bio oil but clearly that's not done anything at all x

Palmers cocoa butter has seemed to help me and people around me have also said it helped them. Try not to get too down about it, I know its our normal female reaction but you've created your baby and that's amazing! Think once baby is here you might realise it was all worth it x

It’s nothing you’ve done. I didn’t use any creams or oils and got none on my stomach (lots on thighs though). People who use a cream or oil can talk about how great it was but really it’s likely a coincidence. There’s no science to back it up. Sorry.
