Dating scan?

Hey everyone,
Basically I'm 9+3 today, I had my booking in appointment with my midwife 3 weeks ago tomorrow when I was 6+4. I still haven't received my dating scan appointment, is there an average length of time to get a dating scan through or did you get it sooner? Do I have to wait until I'm 10 weeks or more?

I got my letter through the same day as my history booking app (app 9+3 scan at 12+3), all digital in my area so they come through quick after referral.

I would ring the ultrasound department and check if they have you on record, if not chase it up with the midwife.

I had my booking appointment at just over 9 weeks then a few days later had a letter come through for my dating scan.

No harm in giving them a call just to check you’re in the system

I didn’t get my scan appointment til I was over 11 weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️ and that was only because I called and chased it! Give the maternity unit a call and just check you’re in the system to be booked.

@Chelyanne @Moominmiss @Ughmaybenot so I rang the hospital up on my break at work and I'm registered at the hospital and looks like the 15th July is when I'll have my scan. It's pencilled in for that date but not officially on the system. I will be 11 weeks nearly 12 weeks by then. So excited and can stop worrying about the scan date now

That’s fab. At least you know you’re in the system. I expect you’ll get a letter in the next week or so confirming the appointment but you can relax a bit now and just look forward to the scan!
