Hi, I posted on here at the beginning of the year I had just had my third m/c and was awaiting appointments for tests. Had all tests and everything has come back normal am now 5 weeks pregnant and terrified. Any advice would be gratefully accepted!

Don't have any advice I'm afraid but wanted to say congratulations and hope all goes well with this one

i'm sure there's nothing you can do except follow all the normal advice and guidelines and hope for the best. great news that everything has come back as normal too.

good luck, i hope it all works out for you

frogger, congratulations on your pegnancy and I hope that things work out for you this time. I've recently had a lovely DD after two MCs in six months, and was, like you, bloody terrified.

Can you get an early referral to the epu, or self refer? I had a sdcan at 6 weeks due to some cramping and spotting and all was well. I felt quite reassurd by that.

In the meantime, there is a fabulous support thread on here for women who have been through similar experiences. The women on there got me through some very tough times.

Good Luck

Hi frogger
My best mate is now 20 weeks preg after 4 mc's - she had tests done like yourself and there was nothing wrong - she was just told she was unfortunate very time that 1 in 5 end in MC. I hope all goes well for you this time and its great you can conceive and you WILL go to have a healthy pregnancy - hopefully this one.Do get as much early pregnancy care and scans as you can. Best of luck x

Frogger - just wanted to say that I know exactly how you feel - I had 3 mcs nothing on the tests, and to be honest, was then terrified for the whole of my pg with DS. Fortunatly I got pg very quickly after the 3rd mc so was actually pg when I saw the rec mc consultant and managed to get scans from him every 2 weeks until 12 weeks - at which point I bought my own doppler and was able to check myself.
The EPAU where I lived was awful, but if you burst into tears at the GP they can usually arrange things.
I did take low dose asprin 4th time around (at my GPs suggestion), and at least it made me feel I was doing something. He felt it didn't do any harm, and not every clotting weirdness comes up on the tests.

Thankyou everyone for your messages. cmotdibbler i am taking aspirin this time too, was told it wont do any harm. My epu are usually very nice and last time said they would get me in for early scans so fingers crossed.
Thanks again! x

Hi frogger,
Best of luck with the pregnancy. I know exactly how you must be feeling as I am six weeks pregnant after 3 consecutive mcs. Let's keep everything crossed for happy endings for us!
