Twin pregnancy - gender guesses?

It’s twins! We are over the moon.

I would love to hear people’s thoughts on the gender combinations. First picture is twin 1, second picture is twin 2!

I haven’t even got an inkling!

Well…the nubs make me think both girls

SunnySideUp2020 · 27/06/2021 15:18

1 a boy 2 a girl

Thefaceofboe · 27/06/2021 15:21

I’d say 2nd one is definitely a girl, and I’m thinking more boy for the 1st one. Congratulations on your pregnancy, how exciting! Grin

Ya91 · 27/06/2021 16:44

Congratulations how exciting! No idea what they are though!

penny92 · 27/06/2021 17:43

Sounds like we must have a girl in there from these responses!

Super exciting although I’ll honestly be happy with either. It’s just fun to guess before the next scan isn’t it!

Thanks for all the congratulations. Twins is gonna be pretty crazy!

I’m assuming they’re non identical ?
Congratulations

penny92 · 27/06/2021 18:07

@Cleverpolly3 Yeah as far as we know as they each have their own gestational sacs and placentas. I think this means it’s more likely it’s multiple eggs rather than an egg that has split.

I think 2 is girl. 1 more likely boy.

Gunpowder · 27/06/2021 18:12

You do get DCDA twins that turn out to be identical as the sac splits very early.

We decided not to find out the sexes of our twins but I had very strong suspicions after all of the scans! Also comments from the doctors such as ‘well, we know they aren’t identical.’

Congrats OP. Twins are such fun.

penny92 · 27/06/2021 18:15

@Gunpowder Ah that’s interesting. In our first scan at the EPU (due to bad stomach pains) at 6 weeks there was a third sac but the embryo never developed which we found out at 2 weeks later as we were then referred for an 8 week scan. I wonder if that makes it more or less likely that they could be identical?
