Constantly ill

I am 5.5 months pregnant and for three last 2.5 months I’ve had a constant string of colds. I had tonsillitis, then a cold and a chesty cough and now I have sinusitis. I have about 2/3 days ‘off’ from these illnesses. Anything my son gets from nursery I get 100x worse.

Anyone else getting this? I wasn’t ill at all in my first pregnancy and this is so miserable! I can’t face another 3 months of it! Feel guilty as I don’t feel I am pulling my weight at home because I feel so ill and tired.

This was me during my pregnancy, my son brought home the germs and shared them with me; only they lingered for a lot longer with me. I think it’s probably down to being more vulnerable but might be worth seeing if your GP would check your iron levels in case they’re low.

Yes OP, I can relate to this. In my first pregnancy the chest and sinus infections started at 14 weeks and were pretty much constant until 32 weeks. Was so ill I was signed off work for 5 weeks at one point, sent to A&E with low blood oxygen at another point. My twins arrived at 33+5 and everything cleared up.

This time I was fine until lock down eased and w stated going out and about again - a week or so later it all started again and I've now had chest and sinus infections for almost weeks. So fed up with it. Like you, the kids get it and then I get 10 times worse. I'm 38 weeks now and due for induction next week so hoping the misery will be over soon!
