I’ve just been contacted by my work to say I have to self isolate until 4th July as a child I teach once a week has tested positive. I was supposed to have my 20 week scan on Monday & now obviously can’t- I’m so gutted 😭

So sorry to hear that, I was in a similar position. I was supposed to have my first scan on Wednesday 23rd June but have to self isolate until tomorrow. My other half had COVID 😩 but I called up the hospital and they managed to get me an appointment for Monday so although it sucks having to wait longer hopefully it’ll only be a couple days

I'm sorry Daffodil It's such a long wait between the 12 and the 20wk scan, so it's hard to have to wait even longer.
I had to rearrange mine too, because we were self-isolating. It was pretty easy to rearrange at my hospital l. They can do the scan until 22+6, and I ended up having mine at 22+5 in the end.

I’ll give the scan department a ring tomorrow. No-one was answering so they must have gone home already. I would be 20wks exactly on Monday so good to know I’ve got a couple of weeks wriggle room to rebook. Fingers crossed it won’t be too long to wait. Thanks ladies x

Give the hospital a call they will have had others in this situation. Back in the first lockdown they were very keen to stress that if you needed seeing you would be seen even if you have covid symptoms. I don't know if this applies to 20 wk scans though.

Are you sure? It only depends on how close you came to the child. Our school said if you were within 2m. Obviously if they don't want you in that's on them but you don't have to isolate if you weren't within 2m. Ring the hospital and ask them if they'd be happy for you to attend if you were NOT within 2m x

Sadly I teach infants so keeping to social distancing is totally impossible so definitely would have been closer than 2m x
