Bathing after c-section

Hi all

It's 4 and a half weeks since my c-section and I've been showering but really want a bath. I've had mixed advice from midwife and health visitor about how long I should wait.

Do you think I'd be ok to bath now? my wound is healing well I haven't had any problems

If it is fully sealed on the outer scar you should be okay to have a bath.

I bathed much earlier, around 1-2 weeksafter I think. I know it was before the guidelines but I really wanted one and nothing awful happened x

My midwife told me it was fine as soon as I felt able to climb in and out. I think it was after around 2 weeks.

Thanks ladies I think I'll give it a go my scar just has scabs now but is closed so it should be fine
