Three weeks ago, I had an incomplete miscarriage when I was 11 weeks pregnant. I had severe bleeding and awful pain so ended up going to the hospital.
Long story short - I had a vaginal exam and the pregnancy tissue was removed using forceps as it was stuck in my cervix. The examination and removal were the most traumatic and painful experiences of my life. I was at no point offered pain relief or anesthesia.
Has anyone else had this experience? The only thing I've been able to find online is that it's a pretty rare complication. Were you offered pain relief?
