Growth scan at 39 weeks

Hi all, I had my routine 38 week community midwife appointment yesterday, she said there was no growth since my last measurement at 36 weeks and also baby's heart rate was very high, was sent up to hospital for monitoring of HR and that came down and been sent home all fine. My midwife has referred me for a growth scan however I'm booked in for a section on Thursday 1st. She mentioned it's a possibility they will just bring section date forward rather than scanning. Does anyone have any experience of this? We asked if we could schedule section earlier when we had consultant appointment at 36 weeks but were told they don't tend to carry them out before 39+3 due to lung development. I haven't been referred for a growth scan before so unsure on turnaround. Any advice would be appreciated.

Recently had a growth scan for lack of growth (funal height) to then be told baby is actually large and am now being induced at 39 weeks for that instead!

No experience on sections sorry

Thanks @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE how long did it take for them to contact you for a scan if you don't mind me asking?

I had the same with the measurements, they called me a couple of hours after my midwife appointment and was scanned the next day.

DS was fine, he’d just shifted position. They gave a rough weight of 7lb 11 & he was 8lb 3 at 42 weeks so was amazed at how accurate it was.
