34 Weeks - Pelvic pressure and pressure in bum!

Hi Ladies,

I am 34+1 and the last couple of days I have been feeling pressure in my pelvic area and also pressure in my bum! It isn't a constant feeling and it isn't painful, it's just on and off pressure. My next midwife appointment is this coming Wednesday so hopefully she will be able to confirm the current position of baby but I just wondered whether this could be the start of baby's head engaging? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks!

For me, the baby’s head engaging felt like constantly needing a wee! Pressure in my pelvic area and bum is something I’ve felt during pregnancy and after when my pelvic floor has been strained. This is only my experience though, I’m not a doctor but have you been doing your pelvic floor exercises?

@SlipperyDippery Thanks for getting back to me. Interesting as I have stepped my pelvic floors up a notch in the last week or so, so maybe it is from my pelvic floor being strained... I don't think it is baby's head engaging then as as much as I am back and forwards to the loo, it isn't yet a constant need for a wee!
