Elective c section not scheduled

So I just wanted to check if anyone has been through this.
I've had my elective c section booked in for the 12/7 since I was about 20 weeks.
This was done by a consultant when I was in for a face to face appointment (they called the unit and booked on the spot). I later got a letter confirming this.

For some reason I had the urge to double check that I was still in the diary as it has been a while. And surprise surprise I am not. I am being sent from pillar to post and even being told I might have to go through another consultant appointment to get them to agree again.

Anyone that has been through this and managed to get it solved easily?

Surely you can just tell them to read your notes and letter of confirmation (there will be a copy on your file).

Oh and just go to the head of midwifery and if that doesnt work then PALS.

@Loubiemoo You'd like to think it was that easy. But I just keep getting to voice mails or whoever is picking up the phone is quite rude and asking if someone has discussed vaginal birth with me.

I will keep ringing around to see if I can get through to the right person. Or contact PALS If nothing else works.

I had mine booked in from about 28 weeks, arrived at my pre-op two days before the date to some very puzzled midwives. I was not booked in despite having the handwritten paper work from my consultants appt. the consultant however hadn't actually booked it on the system. They were then fully booked on my agreed date and so could no longer fit me in. Luckily they could fit me in the next day as someone had gone into natural labour early. Definitely worth checking what the closest available date is. I was previously told that if I naturally went into labour I would be taken in as an emergency c-section so could this also be an option?
