Hey everyoneSmile
I am 6 weeks and 4 days, yestrtday I started bleeding. It has casually got heavier and I have cramps. They are not unbearable but they are noticeable.
Yesterday I went to emergency and they told me I am most likely misscarrying.... I want to keep my hopes up. Has anyone who has had a baby had this same experience?I am due for an ultrasound next week but the way is unbearable Sad

Oh no, how stressful!

With my first, I had a huge cramp and started bleeding heavily at about 6 weeks, freaked out, got a scan and they saw a heartbeat and no obvious reason for the bleed. The red blood stopped within a few hours and then I just had brown sludge for a few days. The advice was that if the bleeding stopped, the outlook was good, and to go back to the emergency dept if it didn't stop. 3 days after the bleed I got the most horrendous nausea and felt that was a good sign, and yes, DD was fine.

However, it was unbelievably scary and upsetting, and you're right - the wait was horrendous. I signed off sick from work, curled up on the sofa and just cried / checked for blood for 2 days.

Did the emergency department scan you? At 6+4 they might have been able to see a heartbeat which is a sign things might be ok. I think the key is to see if the bleeding eases off, and even more importantly, to look after yourself - do whatever you need to do to make the wait more bearable!

Will be thinking of you and hoping with you! ❤

@Aaliyah2200 I'm so sorry it's very stressful to see blood. I think @Shortmamashortcycles has kind of covered it all, it'll be about seeing it it'll ease off or not.
I've had both sides happen to me. It was a miscarriage in my first pregnancy and then in this pregnancy some spotting where I booked a private scan and the scan showed a heart beat and the blood was from a haematoma elsewhere in the uterus.
For the miscarriage I remember the cramps being very bad at around seven weeks.
It's so awful waiting it out. Hoping for a good outcome for you

So sorry to hear this

I had exactly this at the exact same time, went to hospital and without being checked one of the doctors also told me it was most likely I was miscarrying. I had to book a private scan on the Monday as it was the weekend and they found a heartbeat! It’s such a stressful time and I’m praying for the best outcome for you Flowers

Aaliyah2200 · 25/06/2021 14:31

@Chloe7737 my bleeding is very light now, with clots about the same size of rice grains!I will book a private ultrasound and update if anyone is going through the same thing if they wanted some hope Smile
I am very scared but staying positive! I had cramping too which made me more scared, it’s just a painful waiting game rnSad
I’m very happy everything went well for you.

I really hope things work out well for you. When I miscarried at 7 weeks the bleeding was absolutely huge, had to go in to hospital and went into shock from blood loss. So even though that blood loss looks heavy to you, it seems relatively light to me and definitely enough reason to keep hoping for the best, x

Aaliyah2200 · 25/06/2021 14:58

@AutumnVibes I’m so sorry for your loss. My pad has never been soaked just a lot when I wipe! I wish you baby dust in your future Flowers

Thank you. I’m 10 weeks pregnant as we type actually, so that dust has done its job.

Shortmamashortcycles · 25/06/2021 15:41

@Aaliyah2200, great that the bleeding is easing off. And yes, if the photos are the heaviest it got, then it definitely looks lighter than mine - for comparison, when I had my bleed, I soaked a pad on my trip to the hospital and jumped the A&E queue when I had to beg the nurse for a new pad. Hopefully you can get a scan soon and 🤞🤞🤞 for good news!

Aaliyah2200 · 25/06/2021 16:16

@Shortmamashortcycles
It is truly a nightmare from the beginning.
My HCG levels are so low they haven’t been positive on a urine sample, I only knew I was pregnant from a blood test in emergency. But this was before my bleeding. Don’t know if my low hormone levels can be a causeSad. Thank u xx
