Bleeding 11+2

So I randomly started bleeding today and I am really scared.
I have a history of miscarriages and it has taken 2.5 years to conceive this baby so I am pretty petrified.
Horrible brown (pre period type blood) and now spotting every time I go to the toilet/wipe.
Spoke to the EPU midwife and she advised to keep an eye on it and go to A&E if it turns to red blood or gets heavier.
My 12 week scan is on Wednesday but that's 5 days away! Can anyone share any advice or thoughts/stories on this to stop me going crazy before my scan. Sad
X

I have no advice or experience to give, sorry, but I'm sending you good thoughts and I will keep my fingers crossed for you that this all turns out okay xxxx 💚

Thank you. The bleeding seems to have eased now but I'm still having cramps. Wednesday cannot come soon enough. X

With my first pregnancy I had bleeding but mine was bright red for one or two wipes then went pink and then brown (as you’re describing) had scans at EPU both times and no one could see the source of the bleeding. Apparently it’s really really common, the midwife said at least 50% of women have some form of spotting. Cramping too is really common. Re spotting the fact that it’s brown means old blood I think xx

Can you get a private scan in the meantime? I booked one for £70 earlier this week due to spotting, and they saw me same day. Having had a loss in the past, I automatically thought the worst also. The scan was okay, it showed a very small pool of blood (haematoma I think she said) away from the foetus and it really put my mind at rest to see the heart beat.

This is quite common apparently, my sister in law spotted through both of her pregnancies and apparently her mum did the same with her. Fingers crossed for you xxx

Thanks so much everyone. Tried to get a private scan but couldn't get one until next week so will just have to wait. The bleeding seems to have eased (small amounts of spotting but nothing much now) so I'm trying to just keep calm and positive and wait until my scan next week.
So many people are saying it's really common so I'm definitely feeling a little more reassured. Fingers crossed all is well. Xx

It’s good that it’s not red but god your mind must be in hell! Got my fingers crossed for you for next week xx

I’m so sorry your going through this too.

I’m also experiencing bleeding and cramps 😔 I’m 11.2weeks.
It’s so scary and I’m not sure about your experience but medical professionals won’t help. It’s just a matter of waiting around, I have a emergency scan booked for Monday and need to hope things ease over the weekend.

sending positive thoughts

I’m 8+3 and have been having horrible brown spotting for 4 days that’s always there when I wipe. I was seen at the EPU today and baby is still there beating away.

@QueenPQ unfortunately my symptoms worsened over the weekend and I was admitted to hospital where they confirmed we had lost our baby. 😔

I am keeping everything crossed that you have a better outcome and that you and your baby are well x
